Mitt Romeny Wins Illinois

Romney vs Obama

gonna be a good fight

IMO Romney's biggest fight is not gonna be with Obama. It's gonna be with his statements and the way he had to run so far right in this primary.

That is not as bad as the battle Barack Obama is going to have with himself...such as being the only president to have a deficit every month of his presidency, wanting higher gas prices(and having the videos to prove it), record deficit, record debt, him and the Democrats lying to the CBO about the cost of Obamcare being $940 billion, when the real cost is now at minimum $1.76 trillion dollars, forcing Obamacare against the will of the American people, having the worst unemployment numbers since the great depression. This idiot, the Democrats and their slavish media is running on the economy improving, which is a lie, even Democrat pollster Stan Greenberg is telling Obama and Democrats NOT to run on an improving economy because Americans are NOT living it. I can write a book on things that are going against Obama, and uhhh...yeah...this time he has a record that can be used against him.

As for Romney, he gave a great speech tonight, he is going to win over people. All he has to do is instead of stating, "Obama's attack on economic freedom", modify it to "Obama's war on freedom".

I dare you to take a look at Mitt Romney's first primary debate, to his victory speech in Il. tonight. As Romney gets closer to locking up the nomination, he will relax more and more, and improve more and more in his speeches and delivery. Yeah, look at the differences...after that it shouldn't take much to figure out Karl Marx Obama is a one termer.

Again......IMO Romney's biggest fight is not gonna be with Obama. It's gonna be with his statements and the way he had to run so far right in this primary.

Citizens United in action :clap2:

Yep. A week ago Santorum was looking like a shoe in there. Then in came the money.

The message this cycle is that Citizens United will pretty much guarantee RINOs will be the only GOP Nominees. Conservatives, social or otherwise, need not apply.

Romney will lose. And the GOP may lose by an even bigger margin. Their Misogynistic laws in states like Idaho are going to come back to haunt them in November.

In my-not-so-hyumble-opinion, normally I'd say Romney has run too far to the right to recover. He has damaged much of the charm he had for people like me who were open to taking a hard look at the choices come the general election.

But, what will the super pacs do to each candidate? The pacs will not all back a campaign. Wait and see what Dante is talking about. The race will get very interesting and will turn more people off.

Citizens United might just be the best thing to happen to American democracy since the late 1700s

Who knows a lot of people thought Obama ran to far to the left in the Dem primaries in 08 and that would hurt him with independents in the general election but it didn't.

It was predicted. No shock here.

What about Obama's statement in July 2008? "I should be judged by my performance. I will cut the deficit by 50% by the end of my first term."
Well the deficit has GONE UP 50% in his first term.
When in the hell is he EVER going to be held accountable for a damn thing?
When is Obama going to be judged on HIS record? After all, HE is the President now.

Santorum is popular in the south, union shop states and Jesus freak wards everywhere else.
Thinking folks do not vote for Ricky Santorum.

Yes, that is going to be a problem for President Obama. But not nearly the problem of the anti-science stance, the misogynist statements and state level laws, and obstructionist methods of the GOP is going to be to Romney and other GOP candidates.

I really do think Mitt will lose the GE by a landslide, but we'll just have to see. As Toro said the election for Mitt will be on just simply trying to sell himself to people that don't care.

Oddly Obama is in the same boat, but almost every issue that would normally hurt a President like unpopular wars, high UE and overspending are not an issue with Obama because everyone knows Mitt is equal to Obama on each of those issues. The election at best will be about Mitt trying to take Progressives from Obama that are unhappy Obama didn’t go far enough with things like Obamacare, but I don’t see that amounting to much now that there is so much video of Mitt flip flopping on that issue.

The General ACcounting Office came out today and basically stated that the Obama administration's #s on Obama care projections to be just a little off of the 900 billion they claim it will cost.
GAO has it at 1.8 trillion the states will be asking for to fund Medicaid and uninsured Americans.
JUst a little over.
Obama and his administration are fucking idiots. Only a damn fool votes to reelect them.
Of course we have no shortage of them in America with their hands out as votes are very easy to buy these days.

Romney is not anti science.

LANDSLIDE victory for Romney.
As I have been saying for months, he is the best shot at beating Obammie.
And his wife Ann is very smart and sharp.

He certainly has the resources and organization to win in a post Citizens United world. For that reason alone he should be the nominee.

I think Obama is going to be tough to beat in November as Citizens works both ways and I'm sure Obama will play dirty in 2012. But if he can be beat, Romney is the one to do it.

I'm not making any predictions this year. Not after watching Romney steal state after state from Santorum. Citizens is just too damn big a deal and changes things too much. Prior to Citizen's Santorum would be well on his way to picking a running mate and crafting a stump speech. Now? Wow.

Yes Obama will be hard to best.
Folks that sit at home on their ass want to stay at home sitting on their ass.
He is their best shot at the status quo.
Anyone that does not know that A GROWING ECONOMY is how to put people to work has no business as President.
Watch the Democrats roll out their ads with old women in wheel chairs with someone pushing them over a cliff with GOP on their T shirt and crap like that.
Fear and scare tactics are all the Democrats have and naive and gullible dumbmasses eat it up.

You might argue that prior to Citizens Gingrich would be well on his way to picking a running mate.

But Santorum?

If Mitt hadn't been able to hit Gingrich so hard on the airwaves, I doubt that Santorum would ever have gotten his chance to be the anti-Romney.

If Mitt thought he could win the support of the majority of the people in the room he would be anti science just long enough to get the votes.

I could ask the same things about Bush on nearly every question. Yet HE wasn't held accountable for his increasing the deficit and his foolish invasion and occupation of Iraq after promising not to "nation build".

Are you saying that only Democrat Presidents should be held accountable?

Only on the war and GITMO, and with qualifications people brushed aside as what he was doing only to get into the general. lefties never really listened (hello?) to Obama. Obama never ran far to the left.

People believed what they wanted to because of hope and change and ABB - anybody but Bush

Obama barely won the primary and won the general without a mandate. Check the facts. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

Popular vote Obama: 69,456,897 - McCain 59,934,814 - 52.9% win. Hardly a landslide.

It's official

Doesn't really mean anything, as it was an open primary. Any voting that includes libtards is about as far from a conservative indication as you can get, and Ill is nothing but fucking socialist leftists.
