One of the things I have found in previous elections is that announcing my plans makes people want to vote against me!

Republicans using this tried-and-true strategy generally steer clear of coming out and saying they won’t specify their cuts because of the election. That’s the part you’re not supposed to admit.

Yeah, that sounds like a sane plan. So, crazy Mitt is going to lose without us ever knowing what his plans were.

So the thing to do is advocate reduced spending in general but decline to furnish details until after the election. This is a tried-and-true conservative strategy, embraced by everyone from Ronald Reagan to Paul Ryan (who specifies severe cuts to programs for the very poor, but otherwise relies on unspecified cuts to omnibus categories, thus allowing Republicans to deny plans to cut any specific component of them.)

The voters are supposed to just ‘trust’ Romney.

This also seems a component of the ham sandwich ‘strategy.’

Seeing that we have seen the lies, corruption, racism, bigotry, failed economic policies, failed foriegn policies, butt kissing apology tours, etc, etc, etc, not to mention the push towards socialism carried out by obama and co, the very fact that obama is even in the running tells me I live in a nation that is poplated by too many complete and total brainless kool aid slurrping morons.

Willard has said "trust me" before. He said "trust me, I paid my Massachusetts taxes". He hadn't.

Actually, I noticed on his web site the other day that he recently put up new info on a "5 point plan".

Mitt's plan for a stronger middle class focuses on five points: building energy independence, ensuring Americans have the skills to succeed, opening markets that work for America, cutting the deficit, and championing small businesses.

We know more about Mitt's plans than we ever did with Obama, with his plans of Hope and Change.

Really? Then how did Politifact come up with a list of promises that they are tracking? Hmmm?

Promise Kept 192 (38%)
Compromise 75 (15%)
Promise Broken 85 (17%)
Stalled 46 (9%)
In the Works 108 (21%)
Not yet rated 2 (0%

That is not a plan. That is a set of goals. Maybe even a mission statement. But it is not detailed enough to be considered a plan. You do not get to run around calling the desired outcome of a period of time a fucking plan.

Broad generalities with ZERO specifics.

omg, all that at WHAT COST to our great grandchildren?
sick

I think it is about getting your foot in the door, kind of like a vacuum cleaner salesman.

Once he is in your house, he will throw dirt on your rug and won't clean it unless you buy his product. He didn't tell you he was going to do that .... did he?

For example, once medicare is compromised I think there will be further reductions and the voucher system will expand to current recipients.

It will even reach poor old Marco Rubio's 81 y/o mother. Nice ad, Marco.

Alot of other issues will be pried open and expanded this way.

Lol, that's too funny. How many categories are you going to break it down to? Those aren't categories, they're excuses and even my 11yr old knows there are no excuses when it comes to lying or in breaking your word. In reality there are only two categories when it comes to promises. Category 1-promises kept. Category 2-promises NOT kept. The rest is all just leftist excuses and bs.

Promises made=100%
Promises kept=38%
Promises NOT kept=63%

When almost 2/3's of your promises are broken, for WHATEVER reason, you can pretty much be classified as a liar. Notice politifact left out the dem's favorite category which surprises me. You know the one, Promises not kept because it's Bush's fault, lol.
