Misinformer Of The Year: Rush Limbaugh

Howard Stern led to a paradigm shift in talk radio over 20 years ago.

You're just a Liberal tool.

And Howard also reached a point to where he left "free public airwaves" and went to "satellite" radio which is a PAID service. So if you want to listen to Howard, then you must pay.

Rush is still using OUR free public airwaves to promote his hate speech. Wrong answer, go to satellite radio and see how many of your ditto heads will follow him there...:clap2:

The airways aren't free. Someone pays. Liberals always think the world is full of free stuff.

They are free, like a said if he wants to spew his hate, then go on satellite radio and have listeners PAY to here that shit and spare the rest of US his garbage show. I find it quite funny how your want to make the argument about this and ignore the OVERALL fact this article made.

Garbage IN, Garbage OUT is all out his show and has been designated the Number 1 misinformation show on air today. But let me guess you don't have a problem with that?

And the GOP depends on the Misinformation Voter every election!

Yeah like telling people the economy sucking is more important than free condoms.

WTF were we thinking????
Come on, Rush makes us look bad. The stuff he comes out with about Obama and his legitamicy are crazy. If Rush was talking about the poor economy and unemployment he wouldnt be misinformer of the year (even though that title means little to journalists now a days). Instead he goes off about his Obamas dad being a murderer..thats not productive.

Finally, a republican in here who makes sense.

Rush continues to piss off the lefty a-holes and that's a good thing.

You are good with him pissing us off over him lying to you and grandpop daily? Wow. That is partisan idiocy at its core.

"Slut." "Prostitute."

These words defined Rush Limbaugh in 2012 after he smeared Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown law student who testified before Congress about women's health care. Limbaugh's misogynistic attack, which spanned three days of his radio show, did incalculable, long-term damage not only to Limbaugh's brand, but also to the right-wing talk-radio format he helped to build and the conservative movement he has shaped for decades.

Limbaugh's attacks on Fluke led to a paradigm shift in talk radio, as advertisers reassessed their support for inflammatory hosts. Limbaugh's toxic rhetoric helped shine a glaring spotlight on the broader conservative movement's policies toward women, focusing public attention on the radical right-wing effort to dismantle reproductive rights and the social safety net.

Limbaugh's unique brand of misinformation was not limited to sexist rhetoric. Throughout 2012, Limbaugh was an architect of the right-wing bubble that pushed conspiracy theories and denied reality, notably helping to create a false narrative that Mitt Romney was on the verge of winning a landslide election. As that right-wing bubble collapsed, so, too, did Limbaugh's four-year campaign of hoping - and trying to ensure - that President Obama would fail.

It is for these reasons that Media Matters recognizes Rush Limbaugh as the 2012 Misinformer of the Year. Past recipients include: Rupert Murdoch and News Corp. (2011); Sarah Palin (2010); Glenn Beck (2009); and Sean Hannity (2008).

As a matter of fact I do, that is a question you should be asking yourself? Because if you're attacking me for posting an article, it seems the answer might be honestly NO in your case.

Your attack is so classic and predictable, problem is that you just don't get it. If you have a problem with the article, which you didn't read past my brief, then you might be able to find some parts in the article that you may seem as inaccurate and then go from there. But that takes an Independent Thinker to go that far..:doubt:

Where did you cut and paste this from?

BTW, your "logic" is laughably faulty.

lushbo himself has said he only says what he's paid to say and cares not for any degree of accuracy. Even so, hard to believe he beats out fox.

Rush has to be doing something right to infuriate so many lefties. Good for him.

I always wonder this; if they despise and hate him so much, why do they listen to his shows or log onto his web site?

A perfect example of the Misinformation Voter.
Thank you.

So you think free rubbers are what is important?

No, same-sex marriage is more important.

No, raising taxes on the rich is more important and solves everything.

No, now it's getting rid of guns, that's what's important.

Notice how Obama latches onto any issue and it immediately becomes the only issue anyone wants to talk about?

Yet another brainwashed Misinformation Voter.

The irony is strong with this one.

The really hilarious thing is that they site Media Matters.

*cite

But that's maybe a little advanced for a Limbaugh listener

Oops. I stand corrected.

The really hilarious thing is that they cite Media Matters. (Now it's 100% correct)
