Minimum Wage Increase About To Workers Their Jobs

well our side has got time to mouth off too!

So far, the Dems have said they want to raise taxes, have government run health care, surrender to terrorists, spend more money on government programs, attack US corporations, and have the government oversee CEO pay

Hell of an agenda if you are a socialist

..or an infantile conservative retard who would try to change a lightbulb via the lightswitch and call it a terrorist loving traitor for not working...

I can see how the stock market and the fed may have been a serious factor. Because if you are turning a lot of money of assets over these can effect the stock market with regards to trade. I guess my point was he had to use his noodle to make it so. You can't sit on your bum and expect it to fall from the sky. I will never be rich but I will better my life through education and other job skills i doknow that and I've done it on my own and that included my 13 years in the service.
I understand what you mean.

I once heard a joke of sorts, Where two men were talking...refering to how God reminded man that he clothed and fed the animals and birds of the earth who were not even made in the "image of Him", don't you think He would provide for you? And one man made the comment, "Yes, but God did not do the hunting and drop the worms to eat right in to the bird's nest!"

We are expected to work, and provide for ourselves and our families, each with their own gift or talent, some as garbage men, some as CEO's, some as waitresses...some as seamstresses, these positions are all needed to make us tick.

And those that are unable to come in to fruition with their own talent or gift, should be encouraged and helped to reach their potential.

And this does not mean "handouts" in my book! It could just come down to giving a solid education from 1-12? Who knows, but something needs to change from the way we are handling it imho and it is worth making changes to make the situation better.

And the fewer uneducated and poor in this country, the less crime and the better we all shall be!

I believe we are only as good as the least among us as a country.

Not really Rsr,

The Republicans rammed The Medicare Pill Bill through Congress which is the BIGGEST Social Program Increase that has occured in American History in the past 50 years!

The Republicans in power the last 6 years alone have added through their budgets, $3.4 TRILLION DOLLARS to the National Debt!!!!!! It will be $6 Trillion added to the National Debt by 2010, by all solid, projected estimates.

AND COUNTING!

Houston! We have a problem! And I don't think that the "R's" will ever be thought of as the "Fiscally Responsible" party, ever AGAIN. At least not in my lifetime! Of course that is just my opinion, the burn is deep, First Degree, it'll take time to heal, again imo.

Good points, but the problems lies that with immigration, health care, security, and many other topics we can't honestly address these in the right manner. Like many things our goverenment tries to do they only partially answer it in a sloppy manner and it never really gets full attenion and the chain of events are never really broken. I could give a damn who addresses it and makes a honest fix on this subject and many other like it, but it needs serious work.

Dems were all for a Rx plan - until Pres Bush introduced one

I was against it. Why should I pay for someone else's Rx drugs?

Believe me, I know what you mean, the whole thing is really disheartening...

not enough "respectfully disagreeing" and too much "us against them" to come to any kind of solutions to all of the serious issues right at hand! And I have found myself in this "us against them" mode myself from time to time, so I am not innocent in this, by any means! :(

I will give you credit

You are one of the few libs where I can have a calm and resonable discussion

In the end we agree to disagree

Near all Republicans in the House of Representatives voted YES, voted for it.

Near all Democrats in the House of Representatives voted NO, voted against it!

The vote speaks for itself, the Democrats were against THIS PARTICULAR Republican BILL, handwriten by the PHARMA and HMO Lobbyists Rsr.

Only because they did not want Pres Bush to get credit for the bill

Dems wanted it up until Pres Bush pushed for it

The same thing happened with the surge. Dems bellowed for years how more troops were needed in Iraq

They were all for it until Pres Bush sent more troops into Iraq

Normally I would say yes, this is a possibility, but not in this case RSR, they really disagreed with several of the measures in this bill, and were not allowed to make any changes to it of significance while in the House Debate due to "Rule changes" Delay and others in power made.

In addition to the the Democratic committee members involved in this Bill were locked out of the room where negotiations and changes were made and writen in to it before the bill got to the floor of Congress for the final vote, with the PHARMA et al Lobyists in this Conference Room, but as I said, Democratic Committee Memebers locked out.

So in essence, all of my Representation in this great country of ours, WAS LOCKED OUT of the decision making process.

They should have voted no, for this reason alone, but the Bill itself was a big lie from the beginning with even the very LOW estimate that the republicans said it would cost the American tax payer, and this was intentional on their part.

I personally believe that the way the whole mediucare pill bill went down in history is a disgrace to American values.
