I think that there are several proper determinations made to classify a fetus in a womb as a 'child.' The first being whether or not it was/is viable. The second is whether the child was desired by the parent(s). I'm not saying I agree with the determinations, just that I believe those are the determinations made to classify a fetus in the womb as a child. I know that in the case of murder, if a woman is pregnant and the fetus dies along with the mother, then usually a second count of murder is filed. I have seen second counts filed even if the woman is only several weeks pregnant, especially in the case of a young mother who was murdered during a car jacking. She left behind a husband and a two-year old.

As for the comparisons regarding the intrusion of the federal government into religious determinations. Make no mistake about it, the Supreme Court will get a chance to decide this one. It is currently being debated at the first level and will take a couple years to find its way there. We've already seen them decide one case recently where the federal government intruded into religioun. Barry and his administration got their hands slapped pretty good on that one. I suspect this will be no different.

I find it very disturbing that this administration has no hesitation about forcing federal intrusions into religious matters. Religious institutions have a right to set their own policies based upon their religious views. For the federal government to interfere in that obviously violates the separation clause.

I find the congressman's statements typical of those who try to shock based upon a 5 second sound bite... No different than Joe Biden and some of his comments. Actually, a little more tame than his...

If a pregnancy is one that is wanted..and expected to result in a birth. And some criminal activity results in the loss of a child..there should be a penalty for that..and it should be considered murder.
