Researchers from University of Connecticut are preparing a paper on migratory fluctuations of North American avian species (birds).

It is interesting to find out in the last five years the migratory paths of ducks and geese have become later by some 30-45 days indicating that their summer feeding grounds (north) are not producing foods as long as they once used to do.

This year they found that medium weight birds remained in their winter feeding grounds an extra 50+ days before heading north. They also found that light weight birds (humming birds and other light weight fair weather birds) are still in their winter feeding grounds even today when just 20 years ago they were as far north as Montana by this time of the year.

Empirical Evidence is showing a climatic shift and it isn't a warming one.

New research shows climate change is altering the delicate seasonal clock that North American migratory songbirds rely on to successfully mate and raise healthy offspring, setting in motion a domino effect that could threaten the survival of many familiar backyard bird species.

A growing shift in the onset of spring has left nine of 48 species of songbirds studied unable to reach their northern breeding grounds at the calendar marks critical for producing the next generation of fledglings, according to a paper published today in Nature Scientific Reports.

"The birds are trying to keep up with the speed of climate change but they can't…it's just too fast," said Morgan Tingley, assistant professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Connecticut, and a study author. "They can't adapt quickly enough."

What this researcher failed to say was, it is not due to warming but cooling. Rapid cooling.....

He used the term 'climate change' but failed to define if it was natural variation or man caused. This, in my opinion, is wholly natural variation.

Throw out empirically observed facts and no alarmists want to defend their indefensible positions... Who could not see that end result... All of their fabricated models and pontification shown fraud by real science and physical observations...

These are empirically observed facts, shit-for-brains.

LMAO!! Ya gotta read those articles, not just take Rush's words for it.

That's because in many regions, warming temperatures are triggering plants to begin their growth earlier or later than normal, skewing biological cycles that have long been in sync.

The debunked Karl Et Al...

Only you would think this modeled pile of crap refutes what we are seeing, in long term effects. Things we are physically observing.... vs modeled BS....

You really should use context... When you note that cooler temperatures are causing the shifts in plant growth, the accompanying insects that they feed on are then thwarted from occurring, and thus their breeding is impacted, it really puts your meme in context of being fraud..

Dude, I copied that straight outta your link.

Warmer temps, not cooler. Wake up!

And if you go to the paper it is cooling... the link states both warming and cooling were occurring but the paper makes it very clear it is cooling. "spring time warming is not happening and retards 1.5 days per year" currently were -30 to -45 days in just 20 years. When the birds arrive to breed the food source has not yet manifested itself..

Ok, look. Why don't you quote the line in the reasearch paper or the article that says "cooling".

Or just admit you are lying, either or.
