"mediocre at best"

So what does that say about the "Fighting Irish"?:eusa_whistle:

After all, Michigan won, ND lost.

I guess it fully proves that ND is below mediocre, correct?

Michigan has one lousy shared NC in 1997 (shared with Nebraska) meanwhile ND has NCs in 1946, 1947, 1949, 1966, 1973, 1977, 1988, - as well as virtual NCs (should have gotten in 1964 and 1993)

That's all fine and dandy...But we're talking about right here, right now.

Michigan beat Notre Dame. Michigan is the better team, obviously. Otherwise, ND would have beaten them.

Besides, Michigan has ALWAYS played a much tougher schedule than ND, as has USC.

No they're not. Michigan won. Obvioulsy, Michigan is better.

ND also lost to South Florida.

ND is 0-2.

Both S. Florida and Michigan suck.

ND wouldwin 9 out of 10 against S Florida and 8 out of10 against Michigan.

To tell the truth - theteam I was most nerveous abouton NDs schedule was Michigan St -who ND won about 20 straight in the 80s and 90s................

Michigan is not a good team - on offense or defense
Robinson is a smurf

Mich is a med team with a smufr qb

ND SHOULD BE ASHAMHED OF THEMSELVEVES FOR THESE FIRST 2 GAMES

The problem is the QB play.

Not good.

Tommy Rees is wildly inconsistent.

Goes 8-8 - then throw 2 picks. A loose cannon.

But hes the best they got.

Until they play this QB recruit from SC .

Season is ALREADY A LOST CAUSE - may as well play him.....................

Like losing to Tulsa

The pass that slipped out of Rees hand inside the 10 yard line that was recoved by Michigan - when a TD would have put ND up by 2 scores with about 4 min to play:

FREAKING UNREAL

(better QBs than Robinson beat ND - like Mike Phipps of Purdue from 1967-1969)

ND was favorites in the first2 games - and the will be the favorites in the rest oftheir games -except for at Stanford and maybe one or 2 other games.
