Michele Bachmann should get the same for standing up for this country. She nailed it good:

U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, a Democrat, is demanding that Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann apologize for suggesting he has connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political movement.

This could be the start of something big should she choose to take on a gigantic fight looking for a champion. The battlefield is clearly defined in these words:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; . . .

Michele Bachmann has a great opportunity to ask Keith Ellison if Islam is a religion or a political movement? If Ellison answers “Religion” she has him by the short curlys. Ellison will have to explain why he violates his oath of office by defending a religion that advocates theocracy in direct violation of the First Amendment.

Obviously, Ellison will not say that Islam is a political movement because that would eliminate the tax exempt status every Islamic entity enjoys.

In addition, Bachmann has a duty to defend the Constitution as does Ellison; so maybe he owes an apology if not his resignation.

Finally, anything anti-America can usually be tied to the Democrats, and the Clintons in particular:

Bachmann and four other congressional Republicans sent a letter to federal officials last month asking for an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood's ties to the U.S. government.

Bachmann's suggestion that Huma Abedin, one of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's top aides, has connections to the organization has drawn criticism from leaders in both political parties, including Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and Republican House Speaker John Boehner.

I never thought RINO McCain was bright enough to see the constitutional problem posed by Islam the religion and Islam the political movement, but why the hell is Boehner criticizing Bachmann? Is he as dumb as McCain? or is it that Ellison and American Muslims intimidate him?

First let me correct a misspelling. Michele Bachmann spells her first name with one L.

After reading an article by Daren Jonescu I wonder why McCain and Boehner attack Michele Bachmann and not Hillary Clinton?:

Hillary Clinton's senior thesis was a sympathetic critique of radical socialist "community organizer" Saul Alinsky. In 2003, she cited as her primary disagreement with Alinsky his view that radical change could not be achieved from within the system. (That is, she thinks it can be achieved from within.) During her husband's presidency, she instigated the most vigorous pre-Obama effort to pave the way for socialized medicine in America. She offered public support and credibility to Yasser Arafat, famously kissing Mrs. Arafat on stage after the latter had accused Israel of poisoning Palestinian children. When President Clinton faced the kind of accusations that any long-time wife and close co-worker would have known were plausible in the extreme, she chose to "defend" him by leading a propaganda effort alleging a "vast right-wing conspiracy." She popularized the squishy leftist phrase "It takes a village." And so on and on.

'Gentlemen's Club' Gangs Up on Bachmann

Articles: 'Gentlemen's Club' Gangs Up on Bachmann

As hard as Clinton tried to keep her Wellesley thesis under wraps, it eventually showed up on the Internet. Back in 2007, I posted a few messages based on what she said. I read the thesis at this link:

gopublius.com

The link no longer provides Hillary’s thesis. I don’t know if it is available elsewhere. No matter. Should the things she said take on the importance they deserve at some future date, I’m sure it will turn up again. In fact, many of the links to articles critical of Clinton written at the time have disappeared down the rabbit hole.

Hillary aside, a bunch of foul females like Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Waters, et al. are never attacked by fellow club members. McCain will never attack a senator no matter how treacherous and treasonous he or she might be, but I see no reason for McCain to extend perverse loyalty to members of the House. The same is true for Boehner. He had no trouble attacking Michele; so there should be nothing stopping him from attacking senators.

Incidentally, McCain and Boehner not only attacked Michele Bachmann they attacked her supporters. I think they are too stupid to see it. It’s one thing for a macho man to attack one gutsy woman, it’s something else when they are suddenly faced with millions of Americans who agree with Michele.

Finally, I’m beginning to think the boys are afraid of women like Michele Bachmann because they exhibit political courage where it counts; the kind of courage guys like McCain and Boehner lack.

You gotta get off those meds!

A 6:42 audio with still pictures by Jerry McGlothlin does a nice job of presenting some facts in defense of Michele Bachmann. I hope Mitt Romney takes a few minutes to listen if Marco Rubio is still on the VP list.
