Michele Bachmann dismisses CBO then uses CBO numbers within 60 seconds

My parents are still paying on my mom's heart attack a year later, and my dad has good health insurance. They are lucky my dad's union job allows them to pay the bill, but just imagine what would have happened if like so many other people he was laid off this last year?
I am 30 and I have many friends who have had medical bills go to collection.

I also like it when you look up who is contributed to John Boehner's campaign fund over the last few years. Makes you realize why he is REALLY against this bill.

Healthcare costs have gotten to the point where they are unsustainable for the average American. Much like the "dream" of a nice one family house and white picket fence has disappeared, now something like simply like being able to own insurance is becoming more difficult to have.

Top industry to donate to Boehner is Insurance.
Health professionals is also in the top 5.

Health Care for U.S. Congress: Politicians Receive the Country?s Best Care - at Taxpayers' Expense

As soon as members of Congress are sworn in, they may participate in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). The program offers an assortment of health plans from which to choose, including fee-for-service, point-of-service, and health maintenance organizations (HMOs). In addition, Congress members can also insure their spouses and their dependents.

Not only does Congress get to choose from a wide range of plans, but there’s no waiting period. Unlike many Americans who must struggle against precondition clauses or are even denied coverage because of those preconditions, Senators and Representatives are covered no matter what - effective immediately.

And here’s the best part. The government pays up to 75 percent of the premium. That government, of course, is funded by taxpayers, the same taxpayers who often cannot afford health care themselves.

And the Congressional perks don’t stop with the FEHBP. According to the article “Health care as good as Congress gets,” by John Barry, a staff writer for the St. Petersburg Times, “Members of Congress have their own pharmacy, right in the Capitol. They also have a team of doctors, technicians and nurses standing by in case something busts in a filibuster. They can get a physical exam, an X-ray or an electrocardiogram, without leaving work.”

Can't expect those who are so out of touch with the reality that average Americans to face while taking kickbacks from lobbyists to actually be looking out for Americans.

I recently had to pick making more money over having health insurance.

I compared him and Sanders the day Sanders fillabustered. I already knew it, but it reaffirmed who is really looking out for the normal citizen who is trying to raise their family.

I also think it is interesting that most countries that are older than the US have turned to partial socialism, and stopped catering to greedy captialist.

I am not sure what you mean- 'this'...my post was just an example of how the cbo, not illegitimately btw, but none the less does have, to some extent predicate its calcs on numbers generated via political process.

Of course the numbers are generated through the political process. All spending is generated through the political process.

That's different, however, than saying the CBO has no credibility because the Democrats are in power and are feeding them the numbers.

That's also different than forecasting being difficult, which is how I read your link.

thats fine, and MY basic premise stands, the cbo scores plans bills etc. based on what they are given and on models extent.I never said they had no credibility.

in this particular case I would say that because the process was so one sided, lacking any bi partisanship, the numbers they were given and the outlines etc. basically gave the dems what they wanted. and yes the reps have done same....

Look at France's system. They have lower taxes on corporation, but everyone has health insurance. ;)
