YOu were too young to grow up with him on Mtv all the time during his Thriller years and Beat It. I grew up watching his music videos back when they played music videos all day long on Mtv. ANd if they had a show on there it played videos, it wasn't the crap they have on their now. When Miley Cryus beat out Bruce Springstein and a few other artist for award at the Mtv music awards it was the last straw for me.

I guess what bothers me is the way people are so into the celebrity thing. We know our celebrities better than we know our neighbors, but the thing is we don't really even know our celebrities. It's all fake, manufactured. And we eat it up like we're at our last meal.

I don't think this is a "celebrity" thing; this is a MUSIC thing. Hundreds of MILLIONS of people around the world absolutely ADORE the guy's music and have been listening to him for decades. And he's suddenly gone, which is different than when they die at 80 years old. You'd really have to be into the music to understand it. I don't particularly do- I've never been a big fan, I only really like 'Beat It,' so I don't mind too much really. But I can definitely empathize. If tomorrow I heard my favourite singer died, I'd be crushed.

This is a difficult subject because it deals with a person's death. It also deals with a famous person's death.

Having an opinion about it and some emotion's is fine, just don't come talk to me about a famous person dying like you know them when over 1,000 other people died yesterday too if you are not all going to give them reconition just like this one.

Let's not forget about the unknown rumors of jesus juice and the home alone kid. Those could be just standard tabloid stories design to make money, we actually never heard the end outcome of it.

And I'll prolly catch hell for it, but I can't stand Springstein, he looks like he's having some kind of seizure when he performs and his songs are boring. I'll take Miley any day.

I want to know where I said I know him? I think I said in a previous post I wasn't too sad because I didn't know him. I was just saying it is hard for your generation because he was complete wierdo by the time you ever saw him. If you were able to watch Mtv in the 80's you might feel differently. And if we are making assumptions here, I am not real surprised you would go for Miley.

I remember being sick and having to stay home for school and watching it all day long because they played videos all day long. The Real World actually had somewhat real people on it not a bunch of over sexed college students who could pass as models.

LOS ANGELES - Police towed the car of a doctor from Michael Jackson’s home Friday and said it could contain drugs or other evidence offering clues in the pop star’s death.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Karen Rayner said coroner’s investigators were seeking to interview the doctor but said she did not know the doctor’s identity. She stressed the doctor was not under criminal investigation.

“His car was impounded because it may contain medications or other evidence that may assist the coroner in determining the cause of death,” Rayner said.

I didn't say you knew him, I asked questions to see IF you knew him. Reading comprehension counts when we communicate with words. I think it's silly to be upset about the loss of an entertainer (or maybe babysitter on TV in your case), especially if you never even met them. You really have no idea who died. Whatever "all" of us know about him is what his PR people wanted us to know and it's prolly not even remotely related to any kind of truth. I seriously doubt I'd feel any differently if I'd been around in his heyday, because I'm not taken in by "celebrity". I've met a few (entertainers and politicians) and they're just people.

As for Miley vs Bruce... I don't know what assumption you'd have to make, I stated my opinion clearly.

Huh...Funny thing....They can't find his live in doctor anywhere, conrad Murray is no where to be found and though not a suspect (YET) the police sure would like to talk to him....At the very least what has happened here is homicide and malpractice.
