He ran as a leftist but, along with some other major changes to Mexican politics, as making some changes that definitely copy what President Trump is trying to do.

One of them is to lower value-added and income taxes in more than 40 municipalities along the border with the USA.

Another is to create a lot of jobs to replace and repair the infrastructure in Chiapas. However, he’s talked about bringing 15,000 Hondurans to fill them. And that has caused an uproar among a group of activists known as Zapatistas. They say it’s their land and they don’t want outsiders taking their jobs.

To help combat illegal immigration into the U.S., Obrador will be focusing on more jobs in towns along the U.S.-Mexico border. More jobs means less incentive to leave or attempt illegal entry into the United States.

He’s also following another Trump example to help combat illegal immigration into the United States. And this one addresses the taxes on his people.

My question is simple; how long until someone puts a bullet into him?

He fired the presidential security detail, drives his personal car from his home, stands in lines at the airports, and travels with 5 unarmed aides. He says the people will protect him.

Fired his detail, drives himself? Almost sounds like he is part of the gangs there. He knows he is protected, even if it appears he is being noble. Bet your bottom dollar. He better hope he is covered as well as he thinks he is.
