Meghan McCain tells us how she really feels!

My point is if we still had slavery we wouldn't need affirmative action. ANd you missed what I was saying. We pay taxes for a reason and and yes some of those tax dollars go to stupid projects as in Wassila, what those earmarks pay for. Shouldn't city property taxes or state taxdollars of paid for them. Why should I have to pay for a hockey rink in Alaska.
And my post wasn't really suppose to be logical!

I didn't miss anything. You are projecting. My comment about affirmative action does not autmoatically mean I advocate slavery. It means I don't agree with affirmative action. It's as racist as the racism its supposed to be the cure for.

We don't want to compare pork spending. The Dems are in it up to their necks as far as the Republicans. I advocate NO pork spending.

You can say what you want about taxation. It's amounts to nothing more than wealth redistribution and it is wrong the way our government does it. There's no way I should be working an entire day a week for free. And that only covers Fed income tax.

I do take care of myself and I pay taxes also and if making companies offer people you work full time provide health for such employees worked then we would not need socialized medicine. Look at companies like Walmart and Kmart, which I worked for the latter .they work you 40 hours for five weeks and the 6th week where you would become elible for health care they cut you down to 31 hours.

You chose that job, right? I understand what you are saying, but forcing corporations to ante up on healthcare benefits and floating your healthcare out of my wallet are two seperate issues.

There's a happy medium that ruthless corporations and ardent socialists refuse to meet.

on a lighter note I do commend you for being a single parent and this might be sexist but it restores my belief in men alittle. Maybe you can teach my son's father a few things.

I raised my daughter by myself from the time she was 10 until she was 16 and was on active duty in the Marines. It was an adventure, to say the least.

Yeah I chose the job but they said they offered health care after a certain time period but hey somehow I kept missing the signing up period, did they ever tell me when this period was. They did tell me my son would be covered after I had him but not me. This is also why I am going back to college so I can get a better job that provides health care.

ANd do you really think the two will ever meet, which I do agree with you on they do need to.

Oh I know it is on both sides of the floor I was just using that as an example. And I never thought you advocate slavery! And I already said I agree with you on affirmative action. It was once needed in away, but it isn't working the way it was intended. But the group that has the lowest unemployment rate is white males.

How about "Who cares?" Gee, there's another elitist kid in the world that thinks she knows it all. Wonder what her ID is on this board?:eusa_think:

true Gunny

every self absorbed, think they know it all, the world revolves around them 24 year old sound the same as she does. At least to me anyway.

I know how you feel... I feel the same about the way John McCain had the swiftboater and Karl Rove direct his campaign. The scurrilous nature of it is really disgusting.

Foul. You could learn a lesson from your candidate in not continually spewing baseless rhetoric. You've pretty-much relegated your responses to BS, extremist soundbytes.

It just sounded defensive to me.

Well you can hardly blame her, can you?

She was responding to the charge that he father "Just doesn't get it".

I'd have told the internvieewer to go fuck herself if she'd said that about my father.

I think the girl showed remarable restraint, personally.

In fact her father doesn't get it, but so what?

The woman had insulting her father.
