Media: "Donald Trump is rude, offensive!" Has anyone mentioned that he is also RIGHT?

The PART that Trump got wrong was in his little triplet. When he said "they're rapists" he FAILED in that one instance to modify the phrase.

Let's parse it a bit:

When Mexico (meaning the Mexican Government) sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you (pointing to the audience). They’re not sending you (pointing again). They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people! * * * *

Donald Trump s epic statement on Mexico - Business Insider

I assume that Trump simply fucked up. It SHOULD probably have been said this way: 'They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re bringing (or sending) rapists.'

Does anyone REALLY imagine that Trump actually believed (or does even now believe) that all Mexican immigrants sent here by the government of Mexico are rapists?

Stop it.

That's stupid and it has no basis in reality.

That's the way it goes though. They pick the inadvertent omitted or qualifying word or phrase as the intent of the person rather than allowing him to inadvertently misspeak in any way. Anybody with any intellectual honesty could have listened to that speech and would have agreed that it was pretty extemporaneous, disorganized, extremely impromptu, and fairly poorly expressed. But they also would have put it into its full context and allowed what was the obvious point Trump was making.

But there is little intellectual honesty or willingness for fair play among the statist PC crowd. They pluck the one phrase out of the whole that, standing alone, looks really ugly and racist and they present that again and again and again as what he intended. And what he actually intended will never be presented honestly or give much, if any, public attention whatsoever. They absolutely are not going to allow an honest discussion re whether he was right if they can help it.

What they do is wrong. It is dishonest. It is unfair. It is petty and very destructive to the national conversation. But that is what we deal with.

Fox, I'm sure that you are too young to remember the Howdy Doody Show back in the 1950's. One of the characters was Clarabell the clown. He could not talk, but only blew his horn. His job was to bring humor fit for the first graders who enjoyed the show. The first Clarabell was Bob Keenan, as I recall, who went on to success as Captain Kangaroo, on his own show. Trump would have made an excellent Clarabell, if he could have figured out how to put a twist on it to appeal to older bigots, instead of first graders, which is really not much of a stretch..

^ about as incoherent a post as I have seen in a while.

It has been interesting watching the media cover what he said.

They usually quote him and then discuss how he damages the GOP, how he affects the race, what the GOP can do to shut him up.

I have to admit I've seen very little time spent on discussing what he actually said.

Vandal, my age, ancient TV programming, or what character Trump would have been good at, however, have absolutely nothing to do with this thread. The OP does not ask for a Trump bashing session here. She certainly did not present Trump as the paragon of virtue, likable, or any other positive characteristic but she was very specific about what the topic to be discussed here would be.

The thread topic is whether Trump was right in the remarks he is being bashed for.

The topic is actually illegal immigration and the damage that it is doing to America. Why is it that so few here are willing to look at that?

He is huh? So "Mexicans are rapists", are they?

Can you hook me up with a few muchachas then?

not even close to what he said, idiot.

Actually it's verbatim.

How's that search for my posts on Hillary Clinton as a "role model" going? Any clues yet?

Bullshit, he did not say that all illegal mexicans are rapists.

as to the hildebeast------------http://www.uhuh.com/clinton/list-cli.htm

Exact words, from transcript:

>> When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. <<

Nope, he doesn't say anything about "illegals". He says the people "Mexico is sending" are drug-bearing criminal rapists. That's kind of significant because he doubled down later to confirm that yes, he really means the country of Mexico is actually sending them. Which really gives me pause every time I see a Mexican chambermaid, wondering if I'm still in my hotel room, is she going to have her way with me. And then this is tempered with the note that some of these drug-bearing criminal rapists are "good people".

Elsewhere in the same transcript:

>> And, I can tell, some of the candidates, they went in. They didn't know the air-conditioner didn't work. They sweated like dogs.<<

Oopsie. Dogs don't sweat except on the pads of their feet. Is Rump a foot fetishist? :eusa_think:

Sorry hopstick, but what he said is the absolute truth. Mexico is not sending doctors and engineers and teachers across the border, it is sending poorest of the poor, drug pushers, criminals, and yes, rapists. No where did he say that all mexicans are those things.

He could have been more PC, but the truth is the truth and Trump is not afraid to tell it like it is. He is shaking up the frauds and pussies in both parties.

Fox, you and Red are missing the point. It is not what Trump said that matters. Trump has the political savvy of a Bulgarian shoe manufacturer, so it is well understood that he is capable of saying anything. Hell, we EXPECT him top say stupid things, because Trump lives within his own egocentric universe, in which reality dare not intrude. For this, we are incredibly grateful. Trump could not be elected to the board of the HOA in one of his own buildings.

No, you are the one who does not get it. Americans are fed up with PC and lying politicians who will say what the group they are in front of at the moment wants to hear.

What Trump said is true. The lies are coming from the left wing media and the pussies in both parties who are afraid to deal with the truth.

Americans are fed up with incompetent corrupt lying politicians (like hillary) and are ready to support someone who owes no favors to any special interest and is not afraid to do what this country needs.

Yo, libs.

No matter what Trump said, those people are in our country ILLEGALLY. They broke our laws, violated our borders, entered our country without permission. They make those who came legally look like suckers, and yet you libs just gotta feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel sorry for them.

Liberalism is a mental disease, there is no other explanation.

I've found the lamestream LAPDOG ass kissing DNC media along with their chosen one, Obama offensive

so who gives a crap what they or the Democrats thinks

NOT ONE of them has ever stood up for the nasty shit Obama has spewed about Republicans, he's called us deniers, flat earthers, hostage takers and his nasty has went for almost SEVEN MISERABLE years

They can all go to hell on the same train Obama will be on

It is quite obvious from this thread that Trump scares the shit out of the lib/dems as well as the rinos. He is getting a lot of attention and support because he speaks the truth that all americans already know but have not heard from any politicians or the media.

I don't see him getting the nomination, but if he gets the debate back on what really matters, then he will have performed a valuable service to this country.

Debate? Well, I will admit that the thought of a debate strictly between Trump, Huckabee and Jindal would be flat out hilarious, but, unfortunately, none of them are really ready for prime time.
