Instead, CNBC said it won’t help the park service. The Washingtonian said that this check is tax-deductible, which implies that it is self-serving (a fair point).

As with every government agency, I think the most important thing to do is to completely audit and review the budget. Go back to the basics of its charter and ensure it meets the goal while getting rid of all the fat.
