McConnell: No real deficit deal until Obama is gone

Wow... simply sounds like this guy is saying what many of us have been saying all along... huge reductions in spending are absolutely needed... and that with a Prez like this in charge, it is highly unlikely to have such things... and that until he is gone, or some miraculous yet highly improbable change would happen in his leadership style would happen, it is doubtful that such necessary cuts would happen

And of course, the idiot OP trying to play the race card in this... completely predictable

Talking shit again? Obama was willing to make cuts, you clueless dingbat.:cuckoo:

More cuts are needed.. including areas this guy will not touch... welfare, other entitlements, subsidies, reduction in the scope of government, elimination of entire sections of the fed, audits of military spending, stopping payment to military contractors that are not delivering, etc... the funnier thing is though, that Obama still has INCREASES in spending beyond the 'areas he wants to cut'

Wow, sounds good to me... Maybe the GOP really wants to do meaningful cuts, that would be a nice change.

If they want to do meaningful cuts, they would cut government waste and the defense budge... get rid of duplicative jobs and equipment, get us out of these two wars of choice we're embroiled in and stop putting a ridiculously large percentage of our population in jail for non-violent crimes. they'd also close tax loopholes and dump baby bush's tax cuts. they were never intended to be permanent and they're bankrupting us. They should also get rid of corporate welfare and agriculture subsidies.

But they won't. It's about keeping the economy suppressed until after the 2012 election... and they don't care what damage it does to us.

And if they cared about meaningful cuts, they wouldn't be endangering our AAA credit rating, which will cost us a fortune in interest payments.

THAT is the reality....

Wow, sounds good to me... Maybe the GOP really wants to do meaningful cuts, that would be a nice change.

What do you call meaningful? I didn't hear them mention cutting the Pentagon defense budget and bringing the troops home,.......did you? Meaningful isn't punishing Americans social programs first, it is getting rid of un-needed waste like our military.

Wow, sounds good to me... Maybe the GOP really wants to do meaningful cuts, that would be a nice change.

President Obama currently has medicaid, medicare, and social security cuts on the table. Meanwhile, the GOP won't even close tax loopholes or cut the defense budget. And you think they want to do meaningful cuts?

Ahh... but he doesn't.
Those "cuts" are kicked yeeears down the road...

McConnell: No real deficit deal until Obama is gone - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

The Senate's top Republican said Tuesday that he did not see a way for Republicans and Democrats to come to agreement on meaningful deficit reduction as long as President Obama remains in office.

Republicans are looking to cut trillions of dollars in federal spending, while Democrats are pushing for a more "balanced approach," which would include both spending cuts and higher revenue to the government.

-----------------

Wow, I thought when Republicans blackmailed the president into extending the Bush tax cuts by telling him they would cut off unemployment for millions of Americans was stepping "way over" the line.

Uh....dont you mean by agreeing to EXTEND unemployment benefits to those whose benefits ran out?

But this? Blackmailing the entire country? Threatening the American people with economic collapse simply to get the black guy out of the WHITE House?

Not surpirsed you brought race into it. Seems to be a habit of yours. And where was the threat. Obama has pout nothing on the table but the obvious that BOTH know need to be reformed....

The number of government workers is 500,000 less than when Obama took office. We went from losing 800,000 jobs a month to positive job growth for 15 straight months. The DOW has gone up over 6,000 points. Obama got Bin Laden.

Pretty much what we would expect after ANY recession.....for some reason you are giving credit to Obama for making it take longer and costing us 850 billion dollars of borrowed money. I find that kind of typical of you.

So what has Obama done that's so bad? Besides being "black"? And when you say things like "Colonial Kenyan Mau Mau", there is no doubt it's all about race. No doubt at all.

Seems you are the one who said that him being black is bad. I didnt know you were a racist. And what has he done bad? Well...lets see.....he asked us to trust him. He Promised us that he would not let unemplopyment go above 8% if we gave him a trillion dollars to spend. He promised us he took advice from 100 top economists. ANd when he broke his promise he said "I didnt know it was so bad".....so what did he do bad? He made promises about something he admitted he did not know about. So...in essence...he lied to us in an effort to get a trillion bucks to spend.

I think this shows the Republican's "True Colors".

Actually.....I think your post shows YOUR true colors.

You are a racist and and a hypocrite.

Notice how the right wingers skipped right over this? Oh, but it's NOT about race. Sure it's not. Uh huh. Nothing to do with race.

and for what? the forth time, enjoy:)

•Starting in 2013, the bill adds an additional 0.9% to the 2.9% Medicare tax for singles who earn more than $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000.

• For first time, the bill also applies Medicare’s 2.9% payroll tax rate to investment income, including dividends, interest income and capital gains. Added to the 0.9% payroll surcharge, that means a 3.8-percentage point tax hike on “the rich.” Oh, and these new taxes aren’t indexed for inflation, so many middle-class families will soon be considered rich and pay the surcharge as their incomes rise past $250,000 due to tax-bracket creep. Remember how the Alternative Minimum Tax was supposed to apply only to a handful of millionaires?

• Also starting in 2013 is a 2.3% excise tax on medical device manufacturers and importers. That’s estimated to raise $20 billion.

• Already underway this year is the new annual fee on “branded” drug makers and importers, which will raise $27 billion.

• Another $15.2 billion will come from raising the floor on allowable medical deductions to 10% of adjusted gross income from 7.5%.

• Starting in 2018, the bill imposes a whopping 40% “excise tax” on high-cost health insurance plans. Though it only applies to two years in the 2010-2019 window of ObamaCare’s original budget score, this tax would still raise $32 billion—and much more in future years.

• And don’t forget a new annual fee on health insurance providers starting in 2014 and estimated to raise $60 billion. This tax, like many others on this list, will be passed along to consumers in higher health-care costs.

You claim to be an American, so why would you punish Americans with cuts, when all need be done is to bring ALL our troops home to US soil. There was no problem with the social programs under Clinton or Bush (until close to the end of his term), until he started his war mongering. End the military and all our economic problems will go away.

But it's not only that.

McConnell has stated he wants Obama to be a one term President..and now has stated that he won't do a deal until Obama is out of office.

Sounds like he his dictating who the American people should elect next time around.

That's not his place.

Really? Who did he dictate that we should elect? Give me a name.

He just said, "McConnell: No real deficit deal until Obama is gone". What does that tell you?

What else can Obama do? The left doesn't want these on the table but he's doing it anyway. The sign of a "leader".

Yo....you racist pig...

The right doesnt want those on the table either.....

you are the king of hack, truly-

heres another dumb but revealing comment from the one that is a great deal more egregious but hey, inciting the brown against the white, just your standard fair in the Community Organizer playbook, its cool...in your parlance of course since anyone who doesn't agree with obama is a racist you jackass...

“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us"..

I have no idea what you are talking about.....:eusa_eh:

Doing things that create discomfort for Americans to fix problems said Americans let happen is deemed as punishing Americans.

Sooner or later the left is going to grasp the idea of personal responsibility.

But then again....they probably wont.

I do Kitty. But there is no groundswell to end the ME butchering or bring all troops home. Republicans are dead fast on ensuring that doesn't happen, should I be shocked at the overall DC response to feeding corporations instead of Americans?
