McCain's VP decision is 'fundamentally irresponsible'

The country is going down the tubes because of Republican incompetence, and all you have on Obama is his dumb ass minister.

No one cares.

It's not all I have. And if the worst president ever weren't in office right now, this would very significant.

You can only go so far when looking at candidates' voting records. For example, a bill about lowering taxes (something most people would agree is a good thing) may be loaded with 35 earmarks (for example). In that case, someone may vote against the bill because it includes the earmarks, yet people will take that and say "[Insert Candidate's Name Here] voted against tax cuts! (S)He wants to raise your taxes!" when in reality they were for the tax cuts, just not the earmarks that went with them. A President with a line-item veto power could eliminate these earmarks while still passing the bill and making the original topic of the bill a law. Without doing further research on all of the bills cited and actually asking the candidate why they voted against something, you really can't make an accurate judgement based on someone's voting record. Without enough information about the bill and not actually knowing the person's reason(s) for voting against a bill, you're reduced to only judging by the bill's title/main point and assuming motive, both of which are dangerous because they can lead to false assumptions/conclusions.

And this applies to every candidate, not just Obama.
