Looks pretty close to me.

Mmm....McCain's leading that poll. Do I need to ask you again about your reading abilities?

Also, it seems that the people voting for Obama in that poll are more likely to change their minds.

if a poll is within the margin of error, you cannot say either candidate has the lead. the best you can do is say it is a statistical dead heat.

you all should know that.
That's true, but yesterday McSame had a ten point lead.

Doh!

NET LEANED VOTE - LIKELY VOTERS
Obama -47
McCain - 49

This is what matters, likely voters. People who aren't going to vote are useless in polling data.

Which is why on RCP, they show the same poll in McCain's favor by +2.

Not in the ABC poll. Are you that illiterate?

Also, I want to point out that in the ABC poll, McCain holds leads in white catholics, married women, and, most importantly, independents. These are all swing voters. Last month white women preferred Obama 50 to 42 over McCain, now its 53 to 41 in McCain's favor. Obama was also more likely to bring change (59-27), that number is now 51-39.

He's also overwhelmingly selected as the better commander-in-chief by a margin of nearly 3 to 1. He's also seen as more honest and trustworthy.
