Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday praised special counsel Robert Mueller amid speculation that President Trump may be preparing to fire Mueller.

“Special Counsel Mueller has served our country with honesty and integrity. It’s critical he be allowed to complete a thorough investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election — unimpeded,” McCain tweeted.

Whatever McCain supports, the opposite is in the country's best interests. I think it's better that Obama got elected than McCain, WW3 would have been in 2009 if that happened. Seriously, America was blessed with McCain not getting elected.

If McCain was an honorable man he would have easily beaten Obama in the election.

And then there is the flip-side of him. He's lost the respect of many in
his own party and every time he tries to regain their respect he makes it

The country has passed him by. He is so starved for attention, he'll say
things he knows only the Dems would applaud, just so he can get some
applause.

But the worst part for him is he knows he's on his last leg. He knows the
end is near and he also knows that even though he led an honorable life
and served his country well...he has destroyed his own legacy because
he never adapted to the modern day political fight.

He knows that as a POW he never betrayed his comrades...his brothers
in arms and when he goes out, he will do so, having betrayed his brothers
in politics for the last three or four years and he knows that will be his
final legacy.

It's actually pretty sad.

He led a life of honor and integrity and goes out as a butt hurt old man
that turned on everyone who supported him.
