But this guy is in jail as we speak.

ACORN has been investigated and has never been found to have done anything wrong.

prolly.
who gives a rat's ass?

i really am starting to think this mass registration is a real net minus. look at all the money spent on trials, investigations etc.
i mean, how hard is it to go register yourself to vote?

really? you care if the repub party dies? or did you misunderstand me? i didn't copy the dead pachyderm so i'd understand if you did.
I understood you. Yes, I do. I'd like to see a conservative party in its place.

Voter fraud is rare and not very useful.

Voter suppression is easier and more effective.

The Republicans are masters at it.

I don't know. I think if they were tearing up registrations of people that registered as Democrats, that is actual vote fraud and suppression is just secondary.

The interesting thing is that McCain's campaign gave this guy money while he was talking about ACORN non-stop. He's a hypocrite.

And apparently ACORN followed the law...they turned in each registration they received.

this whole voter registration for pay thing needs to be outlawed. it costs a lot of money to follow up on all the accusations, and more importantly it chips away at the faith of the electorate in the integrity of the system.

unless you're physically unable to leave your house, you should have to go and register yourself. if you can't leave your house for valid medical reasons, the registrar or clerk should come to you or perhaps do it by mail.

What are you, some kind of socialist against the free market?

Honestly, it only undermines the integrity of the system because the *cough* Republicans bring forth false charges like clockwork every election.

i don't care who does it. i think it should be stopped.
and, IMO, both sides do it.
if you can't figure out how to register all by yourself, i don't think your vote is likely to be very well informed no matter who you're voting for.

I have no problem with encouraging people to register and helping them to register as long as the groups abide by the state and local laws.
