Traditional (conservative) Christianity will probably state the same thing, in fact every conservative religious type (of any religion) will feel that way.

OK, I agree I shouldn't have said that a 100% of jewish people are fully integrated in the Western society. But then again, even a 100% of native europeans are not integrated into Western society (conservative christians in poland for example are radical towards gay & lesbian people). The fact is that this group (Jews) as a whole: religious and non-religious Jews (generally speaking) are trenched into the European society, they (in general) have earned their place as europeans and the non-religious types are no different from normal europeans (not all jews are religious).

It is true that some religions are "racist" (like the black african church fe) or "sexist" (for example the catholic church that won't allow female priests) to the people who want to enter this religion, I really don't approve these specific and never said I did. And yes these conservative views contradict main Western values, but the "fact" is that more then 50% (according to your source ) of european jews don't relate to those values.

The Netherlands is in a very difficult postion.

They are the most open and tolerant nation in the EU, so they welcome all who wish to live there, but when Muslims come, many of them try to bring their closed and intolerant world with them. The Dutch are caught between being true to their principles of openess, and these prinicples allowing people who are fundementally against what holland stands for into the nation.

It makes them a nation at a crossroads and they themselves don't know how they will deal with the problem.

With the exception of the name calling this has been an interesting thread.

Jews have been persecuted in Europe for hundreds of years, but lately the historical fear and antagonism towards Zionism among many Europeans has been replaced by a fear of militant Islam/Sharia. Why? Possibly because in the recent past European cities have been bombed less by Jews than by Muslims.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of both religious groups are law abiding, peaceful folks who are happy to become productive parts of the society in which they live. Though one would never guess it from this thread.
