I don't have a source, but I heard the other day that possibly Saddam only claimed to have WMD's to bluff Iran out of attempting to overthrow Iraq. If true, this meant that we did all the work that Iran could have possibly dreamed of, and have now set up a perfect scenario for Iran to take over once we leave.

Anyone else heard of this?

The U.S. is not going anywhere! Why give up superior tactical advantage? I wish I had a dollar for every politician who said they were bringing the troops home. But if you really want that, I guess Ron Paul could start by bringing the troops home from Germany,Japan, Korea, Africa, and the Philippines to start.
