Max Baucus is a BAD DEMOCRAT

Tuesday morning the Senate Finance Committee held a hearing regarding the future of healthcare in the United States featuring 15 witnesses, however, not a single witness was a supporter of single payer healthcare. Wanting their voices to be heard a number of doctors and advocates stood up at the start of the session and demanded a seat at the table and as they spoke they were immediately escorted out of the room and arrested by Capitol police.

The speakers who stood up were from the organizations Physicians for a National Health Program, Health Care Now, and Single Payer Action. Senator Max Baucus of Montana is the head of the Finance Committee and he is also the leading Democrat in the Senate to receive donations from health insurance companies. Baucus has received more than $400,000 from the companies and their employees.

[Baucus]: The whole point of this hearing and other hearings is to try and determine the best route and the best option for reforming our country's healthcare system.

Although Baucus said he respected the position of single payer advocates he didn't offer any of the physicians in the audience a seat at the table. President Barack Obama included supporters of single payer healthcare during his hearing in March.

A New York Times/CBS News poll released last week shows, yet again, that the majority of Americans support national health insurance.

The poll, which compares answers to the same questions from 30 years ago, finds that, “59% [of Americans] say the government should provide national health insurance, including 49% who say such insurance should cover all medical problems.”

Only 32% think that insurance should be left to private enterprise.

Freddie Mac was caused by Democrat legislators refusing to fix the problems Republicans were speaking out against years ago. Barney Frank for one was actively lying about Freddie Mac and their financial problems for years.

Republicans only failure is they couldnt get the votes needed to fix the problem years ago. They werent actively pursuing policy that caused it. No honest person can lay the blame on Republicans alone. The degree of responsibility is clearly bipartain, though not equal since atleast on party was trying to fix the damn problem.

Actually, its typical democrat behavior. When are you going to realize you they are using you for your vote? They are trying to make you jealous of what other have so that you will blindly give them power so they can do whatever the hell they want to give themselves and their friends more money and power.

This is the whole point of class warfare. And you fall for it hook line and sinker. The Rich stay in power by taxing people who actually contribute to society. These people contribute by creating wealth. The wealthy tax those who create wealth so they remain the people with the money and the power in society.

You see if a free society when we arent over taxed, its possible for all people to become wealthy through hard work and thrift. And this threatens those already in power. Thats why they run for elected office tax the income of people to prevent them from becoming wealth and provide obstacles to stop them from getting wealth and power. So those who are already rich, can keep their powre and status.

The fact is that there are "bad" Dems, from a liberal Dems position, just as there are "bad" Republicans from some Republican standpoint.

Failing to give "standing" to advocates of Single Payer Universal Heath Care insurance (SPUHCI) when one is investigating finance solutions to the health care issue is not being honest to that process.

Understand, Yurt, that while I do not believe that SPUHCI is a good idea, I do believe, as apparently Sealy does, that the advocates for it should have been given standing to testify before that committe
