I've never had blue crab, I grew up with Dungeoness...

This past year my son and his family were living with me, and we were on a strict budget. That means no runs to the store at night for snacks.

He started going out crabbing every night and he'd bring them home around 11 pm and he and his missus would have a feast of crab and butter and garlic.

It became a memory for them ;)

That's awesome. Resourcefulness in nature cannot be underestimated. During the 60's and 70's my grandfather and his buddies would build bonfires on the banks of the Susquehanna river to lure and dip pick up truck beds full of Shad and Herring, then take them home and share them around the neighborhoods. Bounties of supplemental food sources are waiting out there for the resourceful outdoorsman.

Saturday and Sunday spent at my Grandparents in Lake Shore, eating crabs, clams, oysters and mussels.

Stealing sips of Natty Boh and swimming the Magothy River and the Bay.

Trolling the Bay for Rockfish, to Point Lookout, over to Smith Island and back up to Bloody Point.
