This looks like a winner to me and would sure be nice to own but at $1995.00 I will have to pass.

That's just a gussied up version of the good ol' standard 1911 which has served our troops well since the need for a knock-down pistol was determined during the Philippine Insurrection, now called the Philippine-American War. Though the war had ended by 1911, when the pistol entered the military inventory, that was the root its creation.

The armed forces should never have quit using it to start with. The Beretta 9mm just doesn't have the stopping power.

But, that's only my humble opinion.

I have begun using the 1911 compact model but I still plan to pick-up another one built on the regular Government frame. I sure like this new one that Colt is building for the Corp but a Kimber is also top notch and some are about half the price of the Colt.
