I am a convert to Islam of several years. So I talk about these issues sometimes when I go to the Mosque. There are people there from most all of the Islamic countries. They know what's really going on in the Middle East.

Also, my wife speaks Arabic. We get Arabic channels on the TV by satelite. Plus, much of info I get is on the BBC

American news is very lame and so people here get very little real world news.

American news is about Brittny, Paris, Lindsey. the Emmeys, Oscars, and other mind numbing trivia.

Murtha has the same first amendment rights as the rest of us, he told what he knew to be the situation, I've yet to see anyone counter it with real facts. Soldiers are under great stress, and many Nam friends, when they are able to talk about it, will tell you the horrors of that war. When your friend dies next to you peaceful negotiation ain't gonna happen. Was anyone there who reported honestly and impartially what happened, in war bad things happen, it is why we avoid them if we are reasonable men. The BS over Murtha is political BS born of moronic jingoism, he is a decorated marine, something few here can claim who so easily insert foot into mouth.

The point here is this, Murtha has betrayed a trust,a scared trust he made long ago to those who's shoulder's he stands on, all those that proudly are wearing or have worn the uniform and those that are laying in fields the world over. "Always Faithful" the motto of the Marines goes, not only does that motto apply to being faithful to their country but to ONE ANOTHER, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE. Yes a Marine and even a squid like me can have an opinion but our opinions take a back seat to our brothers in harms way. Murtha broke this trust in every way it can be broken by making an accusation so vile that he would detest the very "line" he came from. So yes, Murtha should be held accountable for his actions, and the detestable and dishonorable way he has conducted himself in the eye's of his fellow Marines.
