Why is this huge? Or more precisely why could it be huge?

Because if this spooks the GOP sufficiently to knock Rubio off the VP short list, then the very huge advantage that the GOP might have gained in Florida, relatively speaking,

in the presidential race is gone and Florida stays very much more in play.

Not to mention that Rubio has enjoyed a reputation of being an honest and upright refugee whose parents fled from Castro.

Kind knocks that on its ass.

Well it wasn't a smear. Whether he was "lying" or not I guess isn't 100% clear-but he did say that-and he was wrong about what he said. But I have to tell you-it's not a headlining story down here, and wasn't a headline story that long-yes even in liberal newpapers.
