Many Doctors Will Not Participate in Obamacare

this is going to be even worse than with medicaid - people who have medicaid have really hard time finding doctors which accept it.
in a lot of states doctors have been dropping medicare patients as well - it is not worthy the hassle.

any GOVERNMENT healthcare plan stinks....

the only ones that are still good are the expensive ones or if you are still covered by your company which is big enough to shoulder some of the extra costs.....these plans are the ones that doctors will favor...

It's not a stretch to imagine that America will go the way of the UK. Private-Pay hospitals are popping up all over England and Europe. No doubt that some of the Hospital Corporations here in the US will follow suit as well.

Look, people of "means" aren't going to be told that they have to "wait" or that they can't have that procedure because their "insurance" no longer covers it.

These "Intellectual Artists" that the left looks to for "inspiration" or these Senators and Congressmen, or these CEOs of fortune 500 companies aren't going to be involved in this damn train wreck. Nope. It will be Private-Pay for these "elite" members of our society.

The NHS is a nightmare beyond.

I've been fighting for two tier up here in Canada and politicians are listening. It is the only way to go.

France has the best. Well had the best two tier. I don't know what's happened under that crazy new commie the morons elected.

Swiss model is even better than French.
But that is something to look for.

well, that is not entirely true.
The catastrophic or minimum care plans should be government - I am all for the basic needs universal care and plus the easy accessible private insurance for those who want and need it.
Generally speaking, the most advanced care in this country is in the teaching hospitals and those are usually accepting ALL types of insurances, including medicaid, because their main brain power is residents and fellows - that is why there is such a frontier medicine.
But residents and fellows are there only because they know that intellectual slavery which is paid less than minimum wage is not forever - and they will fly away to the outer world and will be able to make comfort living which they really deserve after such a grilling training and at least half a million dollars in debt.
But if the salaries in the outer world are going to drop - guess what - the residents and fellows will all but disappear - as will the frontier medicine of the world.
It works only because it has a business model in perspective.
Take that away - and health care of third world country will be here.

A person on an exchange has only theoretical health insurance up to the point the high deductible is exhausted. Between premiums and the $5K deductible on the Bronze plan, said person would have to expend $10K before receiving One Dime of benefits.

As ObamaCare also entails severe PRICE CONTROLS, it is quite likely that there will be a supply shortage of doctors. The person has paid for OCare, but is not able to make an appointment, or at best, is on a waiting list for months.

Without OCare, said person could pay for a doctor's appoint with cash, and save a bundle.

yep. that is going to be exactly that.
for the people who are not eligible for the subsidies - and that is 45,001$ for single and 60,001$ for a couple - which is not much, paying 5-10K out of pocket per year is impossible. Plus a premium, which will be at least 300$ for a single ( bronze plan) - additional 3,600$ per year.

This is a rip-off of the American taxpayer for the benefit of the big business - a typical fascist policy.
It is MUCH CHEAPER to pay cash and be done

maybe that will be the silver lining in all this....the realization that the free market is the answer....skip Obamacare, skip insurance (except catastrophic), skip the employer and buy it for yourself...that is, if universal healthcare can be derailed...

New York doctors are feeling queasy about ObamaCare — and many won’t participate in the new national insurance program because they fear they’ll go broke, The Post has learned.

“ObamaCare is going to send me more patients to see and then cut the payments to provide the care — that’s what’s going to happen,” predicted Donald Moore, a primary-care doctor in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. “I will not accept it.”

Moore claims that President Obama made a big mistake by requiring uninsured residents to obtain medical coverage from for-profit insurers through the ObamaCare health exchanges instead of through public health programs like Medicaid.

Under tremendous pressure to keep costs down and profits up, Moore said he’s concerned that commercial insurers will pay doctors less for patient visits and services than either Medicaid or Medicare.

Many doctors, he argues, won’t be able to cover their costs with such skimpy fees.

Moore scoffed, “Who’s going to sustain the losses? The insurance companies? It’s basically going to be a race to the bottom.”
