Manafort Trial

So if Manafort has committed all these nefarious deeds that he's now charged with, why wasn't he prosecuted years ago when the FBI learned of his alleged transgressions? Why wait until now? Curious don't you think?
If you look into any person's history you'll find something you can take to court, with very rare exception. There are mountains of rules and there's no way a business can survive without breaking a couple over the years.
If this trial ends up being the joke it seems to be heading for how is anything mewler done in any of this so called “investigation” going to look. It’s day two of a trail. The point in the proceeding when you put up your most damming evidence. And you have pictures of the guys fucking closet? Mewler charged some Russians he never thought would protest but had to back down. Now he’s going after his big fish with clothing choices? That’s not only pathetic but I think if Manafort skates he should sue the shit out of the DNC for putting him through this farce.

So, you're okay with bank fraud, tax evasion and money laundering? Wow...
Looks like the FBI was fine with it until Manafort helped Trump get elected. Why is it that Manafort wasn't charged with these crimes when the FBI learned of them? Political prosecution perhaps?

Manafort was an idiot for drawing attention to himself.
So you're ok with political prosecution?

What "political prosecution"? I didn't know "bank fraud, tax evasion and money laundering" were considered political crimes.
I love when stupid snowflakes play stupid....

It makes them look so ... Stupid.

:p

If the FBI investigated and retired the file without charges years ago and then reopened it and filed charges because they're looking for leverage against Trump, it's a political prosecution. Any citizen that isn't a partisan hack ought to be deeply troubled.

THE SHADY BUNCH: Here Are The Key Players Of Paul Manafort’s Trial

He is now on trial for bank fraud and tax evasion charges in Virginia while he awaits another in D.C.

Good luck, Mr. Mueller! American patriots support you!
18 felony charges in one venue and 7 more in another.

That's 25 felony charges. WOW!

Here is the entire list of charges against Paul Manafort.

Interesting reading.

Manafort-gates Indictment Filed and Redacted
And none related to anything the Special Counsel was appointed to investigate...

:p

Manafort will later face a second trial in D.C. in September, where he faces separate and more serious charges of conspiracy to launder money, failure to register as a foreign agent for his lobbying efforts in Ukraine, and obstruction of justice for attempted witness tampering.

Paul Manafort's First Trial Is About to Start. Here's What You Need to Know

Unless Manafort flips or Trump pardons him - he will most certainly die in prison.
Failure to register as a foreign agent....like Fat Tony Podesta ... Who is being protected by the man who indicted Manafort

'yeah, whatever's?

lol

Again, I love when stupid snowflakes play stupid because it makes them look SO ...stupid.

Every time something HIGH PROFILE / A HUGE REPORTED STORY that happened in the past that is a 'negative' for Democrats / Liberals they all try the same stupid tactic ... They try to shrug it off as if it never happened.

Bwuhahahaha....

June 20, 2016

There was notable palace intrigue as soon as Manafort entered the scene because of reported tensions between him and then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

The drama reached a tipping point June 20 when Lewandowski was fired. Though Lewandowski didn't give a reason for his dismissal, he did say he was no longer running the show leading up to his dismissal.

"Paul Manafort has been in operational control of the campaign since April 7,” Lewandowski told The Associated Press on the day he was fired. “That's a fact.”

Mueller asks court for 100 more blank subpoenas ahead of Manafort trial

:eusa_whistle:
Sorry, you just violated the Judge's order.

This trial is not about and does not include Trump....but at the same time we all know that it is ALL about Trump. :p

If Manafort was a Clinton supporter he wouldn’t have even been charged.

No. We've been asking for the Clinton's to be prosecuted for decades

Some food for thought. I've thought for some time that Manafort is afraid of Russian retaliation if he flips.

Even though Manafort is facing 25 charges that could easily put him in prison for the rest of his life — and even though the evidence for many if not most of these charges appears quite strong — he’s pleaded not guilty to everything, and has given no public indication he’s considering flipping.

Why? One possible explanation is he just has nothing to flip with. Either he wasn’t involved in collusion or he has nothing on Trump or anybody else Mueller cares about. Alternatively, maybe Manafort is just holding out hope that he can beat the charges. A darker possibility is that, given an apparent series of Russia-linked assassinations in the West, Manafort fears violent reprisals against himself or his family should he give information implicating Russians.

Or, crazy thought, he didn't do anything and doesnt know anything and you're so deep into conspiracy theories you have lost touch with reality

Duh, the article also states that possibility.

And 20 years of investigations have taught us that you are engaging in fantasy. But hey, gotta be a conspiracy,, right? It couldn't POSSIBLY be that you're a crackpot...

Some food for thought. I've thought for some time that Manafort is afraid of Russian retaliation if he flips.

Of course you did....

Since John and Fat Tony were his partners in crime that must mean they are afraid of the Russians, too...

They did pay the brothers e extremely well. John received thousands of shares of unreported Russian stocks...and only had to give up 1/3rd of his company's Board of Directors Seats...

Hillary was paid over $125 million, but I am this king that was for more than just her part in delivering 20% of the US supply of Uranium to them...

Maybe she is running in 2020 because they paid her for the WH / for WH access and if she doesn't deliver she will have one of the types of accidents the Clintons are known for...

:p

So, for the record, we can put you down as being A-ok with political prosecutions, right?
