Man Pulled Over in Tennessee With a Arsenal of AUTOMATIC Weapons

After Vegas, and all the argument over gun laws, yet here we have a man pulled over with a huge cache of weapons, ammunition, and survival gear. Many of the rifles were AUTOMATIC or modified to automatic, and none of them had serial numbers or were registered. What was this guy planning?

"(JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.) — Federal agents are trying to determine why a man pulled over for speeding in Tennessee was carrying a cache of weapons including two submachine guns and 900 rounds of ammunition.

Deputies found Scott Edmisten, 43, of Johnson City, carrying a .357-caliber Magnum, a loaded .45-caliber semi-automatic, a .223-caliber fully automatic assault rifle, a .308-caliber fully automatic assault rifle, more than 900 rounds of ammunition, and survival equipment, Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal said."

He sure has some explaining to do. At a really bad time for him regardless of his intentions...
Pretty sure his biggest headache is going be possession of weapons with no serial numbers

actually wasn't sure what the conversion laws were, but an otherwise legal gun is pretty serious without the serial number because it is proof of intent isn't it?

Nope, that is the same as the converted machine guns as far as the felony go's.

Yes, altering, or removing a firearms serial number is a big no no.

Isn't there laws against that?

Yep. You think that was maybe why he was arrested and held without bond?

I was being facetious

Arsenal? Add a case of beer to that and you have a typical summer weekend at the river in Texas.

Yeah. I think the 900 rounds of ammo is a bit of a red flag. Unless he is going hunting and is a really bad shot.

I hope there is a valid reason for all of this. If not, the SOB deserves the book thrown at him.

900 rounds doesn't sound crazy to me. I'm out in Manitoba and without snow it's over an hour to get to a Canadian tire. We've just bought two SKS this summer and looking at picking up a 750 round box o' bullets. Great price when you buy in bulk.

Now this is what I call an arsenal..... Burt's my hero. What a freaking rec room!!!!!

He could have been going camping.

So now you are guilty if you are a legal gun owner.

seriously, fuck you 'people'

This bit here is the issue for me "none of them had serial numbers or were registered."

Smells of gun running...

Fully automatic machine guns are illegal. Look how well all that gun control worked out
Give up on it, Taz. You know damned well that the 'bump' stock guns fire at rates close to the fully auto military rifles, and that they are perfectly legal. Legal and available to the public. Last I heard, 12 of the guns that madman in Vegas had were of that type.

AR-15|AR15 Bump Fire Stock

Now doesn't that sound like what we heard as the madman fired into crowd? And they are perfectly legal. Gun control did not work out because we have none in this nation. The NRA helps make the law so they can be circumvented to the profit of the gun manufacturers. And your defense of that makes you an accessory to the crimes committed with those guns.

And rightfully so. He is either going to use it without them being traceable, or, he is selling to God knows who and they will use it without it being traceable. The question is, why would someone want to do that?
Easy answer MONEY

Fuck you, asshole. This type of weapon, altered or unaltered, seems to be favored in most of the mass shootings in this nation. And there is zero need for an assault weapon in civilian hands.
