This makes me think of the movie, Grumpy Old Men. If he hadn't had the gun, the two would still be friends and probably laughing at their foolishness. If not friends, at least they'd be alive.

The way people are going for a gun to settle every single altercation or disagreement is just plain dumb.

OTOH, guns certainly make Darwin's law true.
