GAZA, (PIC)-- The Malaysian premier Mohammed Najib arrived in the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing on Tuesday to an official welcome ceremony.

Premier Ismail Haneyya and a number of ministers, MPs, and leaders of factions received Najib and the accompanying delegation on arrival at the Rafah terminal.

Najib, during his few hours visit, will meet with Haneyya, tour the devastated cabinet building, and visit families of martyrs who were killed in the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The Malaysian premier is also scheduled to meet with a number of Palestinian figures and academicians at the Aqsa University and lay down the foundation stone of a school financed by his country in Zahra city in the central Gaza Strip.
