Saudi Arabia is trying to become what? They're so weird.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is trying to diversify. The United States under President Trump is quickly becoming the new Saudi Arabia of Coal, Oil and Gas, and we really don't need them for our fuel needs. Bringing the kingdom into the 21st Century, building alliances with America as well as other western nations like Israel isn't popular with men like Khashoggi who are seeking to tear down their own nation and their own system.

Bringing in major international events like Crown Jewels is part of their strategery.

America needs to be encouraging Saudi Arabia IMHO.

Apparently a few people got carried away in the Istanbul consulate and gave Khashoggi the Mel Gibson treatment. You'll get that from time to time. Radical islamists like Khashoggi really expect this kind of treatment, they understand Sharia and realize that this is part of their system of jurisprudence. But the important thing to remember is that the Royal Family knew nothing about what was going on in Turkey so it is pointless to try and destroy US-SA relations.

While I certainly dont watch WWE, I heard that the fans last week booed the promo for that Saudi event when it was shown at another event.

The WWE has had patriotic Iranians including former champion the Iron Sheikh in the organization for many decades. I can certainly understand a certain amount of anti-Saudi sentiment.

The Sheikh's intent was to take the title back to Teheran and only defend it in Iran, when Hulk Hogan upset that apple cart.
