CNN Catches Heck From GOP Ron Paul Backers
Friday, June 08, 2007 - FreeMarketNews.com

Analysis/Opinion

In what may be seen, in part anyway, as statement of explanation to Ron Paul supporters, CNN has featured a “Ron Paul Phenomenon” article on its website. FMNN has already mentioned that article here - below - pointing out that part of the article, like a segment apparently scheduled for today on CNN, implies that Ron Paul supporters are few and fervid.

However, it should also be noted as a matter of professional courtesy that CNN “political ticker” staffers are obviously making an attempt in the article to address issues that the alternative news community has raised.

These comments deal, in part, with a “disappeared” CNN political ticker posting board that included a massive number of pro-Ron Paul comments. CNN explains its removal of the GOP debate comments section from the site as follows:

“The comments section is intended to be informal, of course, but the strain on resources that night prompted us to take down the ‘Who won the GOP debate’ question (though that didn’t stop Paul supporters from commenting; they started adding comments to the ‘Who won the Democratic debate?’ post). The intention was not to censor Ron Paul supporters — right now, you’ll find hundreds of Paul posts on the site. Given the volume of submissions, we do not post every comment. That said, we will always try to post as many as possible. We know how frustrating it can be to write something thoughtful and never see it published. Right now ‘Ron Paul’ is among the top-searched terms on Technorati, the popular site that tracks blog posts. According to the community Web site, Eventful, there are more than 16,000 outstanding ‘demands’ for Paul to appear in cities across the country – that’s up 11,000 from just one week ago, leapfrogging him over Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York. Ron Paul video clips get plenty of play on YouTube and there is no shortage of blogs devoted to his support.”

The statement, as a matter of professional courtesy, should be accepted at face value.

That said, there are plenty of other questions that CNN still hasn’t answered that have been raised by the alternative press, including FMNN and WhatReallyHappened, about the debate and its aftermath.

-Why did Wolf Blitzer promise equal time to the candidates and then refuse to give it?

-Why were the seating arrangements obviously featuring “first tier” candidates?

-Why did CNN carry a straw poll graphic after the debates and then remove it when it showed that Ron Paul had won the debates by an overwhelming amount?

-Why did CNN anchors like Larry King feature the “first tier’ candidates after the debate when the obvious – burning story – was the powerful response to the debates by Ron Paul supporters?

-Why didn’t CNN report what its own “political ticker” staffers knew that night – that Ron Paul supporters had “overwhelmed” the posting facilities and “crashed the boards.”

-CNN prides itself on being a “breaking’ news organization. Why did it take two days before staffers finally addressed the issue in the site’s “political ticker’ section?

The CNN political ticker staffers are to be congratulated for making an attempt to “clear the air.” But it will take more than one article and one explanation to remove the questions that were raised by CNN’s handling of the debate and its aftermath.

He keeps winning the after the debate computor polls too but no one seems to mention that.

I love you too Jeff.

BTW would you like to answer those questions about What you would do to fix our current situation?

My posting on this board is all about what to do to fix the current situation

All you have to do is read my posts.

Now are you going to admit how dumb the "bush off the wagon" thread was?
