Maine Gov Paul LePage is Sorry He Wasn't Sneakier About Taking Down the Mural

Gov LePage took down a mural from the LABOR department that depicted LABOR because he had a single anonymous fax from a "secret admirer" complaining about the mural.

Some close to Gov LePage say that the Gov is regretting his decision to move the mural, not realizing the public outcry that would occur as a result. (Are they really THAT stupid?)

"He certainly regretted that it happened," said state Rep. Leslie Fossel (R), who chairs the Moderate Caucus and attended the meeting. He added that LePage revealed he wished he had waited to take it up in the summer, rather than the middle of the legislative session.

"It was a distraction that they did not need, and it just got away from them," Fossel said.
