Geo Metro as I recall got like 53 or 57 mpg highway. Now we get all excited if something gets 25? WTF?

My 3/4 ton Diesel pickup gets 25mpg on the highway. I like it, but hardly extraordinary. Kia Soul EV gets 120 MPG city 92 MPG highway. High mileage isn't a big deal. High mileage with enough power to operate normally in traffic is harder, but still available.
