This is precisely what he said -

"Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is treason. If we think our interests may only come first and we don’t care for others, it is a treason of our values, a betrayal of all moral values."

Good statement there. Trying to screw your friends for your own benefit is certainly immoral, and used to be against America's values.

France used to have very reasonable foreign policy but then it got hit by a series of terrorist attacks. After that France changed its tune. Now it does not get hit by any terrorist attacks.
