Actually there is very little wrong with them. They are about the only way for an individual community to receive direct benefit from the federal government and most are targeted at R&D and vital infrastructure. So why has McCain made them the platform for change in his administration? Does he really think small town America can fork out millions for a new sewer system when all their jobs have gone to China? Doesn't the federal government at least owe them a place where they can take a crap without floating in it?
