9 of the 10 states with the highest child death rate (children ages 1-14) are GOP states, according to The Annie E. Casey Foundation recently released 2010 Kids Count Data Book. The top 10 states with the fewest child deaths reported are all Democratic. Mississippi reported the highest child death rate with 34 per 100,000 children, and Rhode Island reported the fewest with 9 deaths per 100,000.
