At least that is what the restaurant in Shreveport, La is being accused of. I would wait till all facts are in before forming a opinion. According to the Muslim husband, the restaurant employee said this to him:

“She asked me point blank ‘Are you Muslim?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I’m Muslim,’ She said ‘We can’t serve you’ and locked the door from inside when my wife was still inside the store,” Husain said.

The situation quickly escalated and Husain ended up calling 911. So did a Subway employee. At some point before police arrived, however Husain said the employee unlocked the door and let his wife leave but also made it clear they should take their business elsewhere.

An officer with the Shreveport Police Department arrived after that. Both Husain and a department spokesman said the officer initially patted Husain down to check for weapons. But spokesman Cpl. Marcus Hines said the officer eventually determined the situation was much ado about nothing. Department records show the officer didn’t even file a report.

Fleming’s employees deny Husain’s version of events, and claim that security tapes prove that there was no discrimination against the couple. Still, the Shreveport police are ignoring a request for an investigation by the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

With the limited evidence provided in the story, I would tend to believe the store, simply because the brought up the existence of the security tapes. You know they will be saved, for future use.

Fleming, a devout Christian, warned in August that the election was a choice between “competing world views” of “a godless society” or “a Christian nation.”
That’s just as disturbing as the alleged discrimination.

Ya cause how dare anyone have an opinion that you don't like.

That an elected official, charged with representing all the people, who promised to obey the Constitution, should opine that he perceives the United States as a ‘Christian Nation’ is indeed disturbing.

He is charged with representing his constituents, not ALL the people. It is a bit late for you to suddenly get Constitution. Most leftists want to do away with it for their government takeover of life. The United States has a predominately Christian following. It is a fact. Deal with it.

Personally I think this story is ridiculously overrated and the proprietor of a business has the right to serve or not serve whomever they wish... but how hard is it to watch a video tape?

You might want to take a minute and read the Constitution, in providing the ratification date it reads a follows, "Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven". So yes we were founded by Christians and are a predominately a Christian Nation.

BTW a freaking Maobama supporter trying to invoke the Constitution is laughable.

The per forma legal attestation was required for following all documents.

You ignore the prohibition of religious test oaths. You ignore the adding of the 1st Amendment. You ignore all the evidence that tells us, the Constitution creates a secular government.

We are not living in your imaginary world, OK.

Was it a problem when Obama said almost the same thing? Or is it only a problem if the elected official espouses a viewpoint you disagree with?

Nope. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlawed racial and religious discrimination by facilities that served the general public. If the couple can prove that the employee said what they claimed he said, they have a case.
