I Support Officer Wilson

A big blowback of pro-police and Support Ofc Wilson stuff spreading now. Lots of people changing their front porch lights to blue bulbs to support police. God Bless America.

One group has raised a quarter-million $$ for the officer already!

These support sites are just as antagonistic and divisive as Rev Al and his race hustling ilk.

These support sites should wait and see how the story unfolds.

Why "wait and see"? How bout "get actively involved" instead?

Because both sides lack enough sufficient evidence for me to determine what really happened.

The only things known are this:
1. Wilson shot and killed an unarmed man (teenager).
2. The Ferguson PD would not release an official report of the incident and for 6-7 days, would not release the officer's name.
3. And when they did they released a video unrelated to the shooting.
3A. Concurrently someone named "Josie" calls a radio station and relates third-person info.
4. The Ferguson PD still has not released the full autopsy report, the Brown family had to hire one themselves in order to find out what happened to their kid.
5. There have been 40 FBI agents on this for 10 days, which is great news because
6. The Ferguson PD is a bunch of idiot incompetents who are content to try Brown in the court of public opinion, and it is working as you can see by this thread and others.

Without support that officer would be railroaded.

Railroaded? Anything but. He's on paid vacation for shooting an unarmed teenager.

The policeman's union in the U.S. is the most powerful union of any, public or corporate. They have initiated their own propaganda campaign, ergo blue light bulbs and Facebook bullshit. They don't want to have to wear cameras on their uniforms, they already hate the cameras in their squad cars.

Here are the flaws with your argument.

1.) A society should always presume police good intentions because the police are OUR front line.We can still acknowledge that some cops are bad, still acknowledge that police culture has problems, but if we take the position that the cops are wrong from the get-go, then we're long past the point where revolution should have occurred.

2.) The presumption of innocence should be followed.

3.) The support of the cop is a direct REACTION to his vilification. If the liberals and blacks hadn't automatically presumed wrong doing and started braying for his blood, then there would be no need, at all, to offer him support. It would be a low key, administrative, issue to determine whether he followed the law or broke the law.

The problem here lies with Brown supporters rallying to defend the honor of a criminal caught on tape being a criminal.

I'll support him if he is innocent. If not, he can rot in prison for the rest of his life. What he does for a living does not change any of that.

That unarmed perp should of armed himself if he's going to attack peace officers.

The whole thing stinks and from both sides. On one hand, the police attempts a character assassination of Brown by releasing video evidence of him stealing and attacking the store owner. On the other, they claim the officer got injured by Brown, but won't release evidence pictures and hospital reports. That is the big thing that needs to be settled. ...

Also the key witness (and friend of Brown) that stated that Brown was shot in the back is proven liar previously arrested for theft and giving out a false name.

Also other witnesses stated that Brown was shot in the front while charging the officer.

There's also conflicting autopsy reports.

I'm still taking a wait and see approach before choosing a side.
