Looks like a Socialist profile

Something that a lot of these mass murderers seem to have in common is being on psychotropic drugs for depression, anxiety, whatever. I read that Paddock was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June. I wonder if these drugs can push a person over the edge, allowing them to commit such atrocities? It is pretty well known that these drugs can actually worsen depression and cause suicidal ideation. Makes you wonder about these kinds of drugs that are just given out because someone feels depressed or anxious. I think we are a very overmedicated society and I wonder if that plays any role in violent behavior.

Yanno.............my room mate brought up the same idea about him going snappy all of a sudden and killing lots of people.

But......there's a problem.......................

Snappy people don't have a good sense of planning, because for them (generally) everything is spur of the moment.

The shooter in Las Vegas took a lot of time to plan, and execute, what he did.

Sorry, but that amount of planning doesn't say snappy, it says premeditated.

"Snapping" doesn't necessarily mean you just go Rambo. These people can still be capable of planning and forethought. It's just that their thoughts are ALL fucked up.

Agree, usually after you're taking benzo's a few weeks your thoughts are not organized enough to put this kind of planning together. I was put on xanax about 10 years ago to help calm me down when I had heart palpitations at first I'd only take one when they started, then every other day and then every day for about a month, man I could not think straight and when weaning myself off could have taken a life, didn't matter who I hated everyone. Off of these for a few years and a couple years ago put on low dose 2mg valium for vertigo, I learned from my xanax days so only take when I truly have a bad attack so one or two a month. When I do take one though have a tuff time organizing my thoughts the day of and the day after.

Perhaps that is the case for you, but you are not representative of everyone else. Medications affect different people in different ways depending on their body chemistry and other factors. There is no such thing as "one size fits all" when it comes to psychiatric medications. In fact, they are totally ineffective in some people. Some people need higher dosages, some people need lower dosages, so you really can't use your own personal experiences and attribute them to everyone else.

What is the attraction with guns? When I joined the military and entered the barracks, where the guns were kept on racks, half of the newbies sped to the racks to fondle the guns. Some of my friends are still in that stage and bring out their babies if one shows any interest at all.

Same with knives and snap on tools as well as hot rods. Just is. Personally, being a gun nut I like the lines of classic hunting rifles. Those and the old flint lock fire arms. Those were made with as much care as a samurai sword.

Vegas shooter

1) Didn't live in backwoods Nevada for very long
2) Looks like a pervert
3) Comes from a bizarre family
4) Semi-wealthy yet still wants to kill everyone
5) Targeted a country concert, assuming everyone there voted for Trump
6) Uses traditional Socialist violence and thinks it solves something

The only thing we're missing is #7) Fat.

Have fun in hell buddy.

No he sounds more like a redneck Republican
