SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are looking for several men who robbed a woman at gunpoint last week inside her Sugar Land home.

They released a composite sketch of one of the robbers on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old woman told police the men kicked in her back door and ransacked her home on Ashford Green Court.

One suspect held a gun on her while the others went from room to room looking for money and other loot.

She said at least six men left in a sedan with electronics and other items from the house.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at 281-275-2540. Tips can also be provided to Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477), by text messaging CRIMES (274637) or online.

How has he remained on the loose for more than an hour with that face. That's not one that you would forget very soon.

I believe myself to be compassionate also, but as an African American 47 year old female, I was crying because I was laughing so hard at the sketch and also at the comments. You have to assume that the victim was describing a black male but that description is nowhere in the story and so I question KHOU reporter and/or the Sugarland police for the realness of this story. At first I thought it may be a joke. It reminds me of the Susan Smith story, the women who murdered her kids but said a black male was the culprit. She even gave a sketch of what appeared to be an African American male with a cap on (cause we all wear caps on our heads).

@Luckylady - To say that you knew there would be comments such as those given by proactive and conservative, only says that you shared the same inital thoughts about the sketch. Just because you cover it up with your compassion talk doesnt make you any better!

Holy smoke. Either they refuse ot give a picture and give a partial description of they give a picture with no description. Is this guy 3 foot 9 inches tall? Or 8 foot 6 inches tall...kind of makes a difference.

Proactive...the question is...what are you doing on here? Apparently, the news website is not where you should be or really want to be. Maybe you should be chatting with others your own age, which I'm assuming is about in the 15-18 range.

Conservative...thanks for the sarcasm. I just have a compassion for others....and I don't like senseless and useless remarks nor do I like when people use these spaces to promote racial bias' and stereotypical BS. The fact is, regardless of how the sketch looks, the hope is that the criminal is caught because of it.

You are so deep luckyladylenz? right

luckyladylenz said on July 26, 2011 at 1:09 PM

Conservative and Proactive, I'm glad you both found this not to be a serious issue. Before even looking at the comments, I knew there would be comments such as yours. This is not a funny situation and I hope you or your loved ones never have to deal with something like this. Not everything is a laughing matter...especially at someone else's expense. Next time, if you don't have something intelligent to say, then don't say anything at all. I hope you are proud of yourselves....and something tells me that you are.

I'll say this also, if the guy really does look like that, he needs to go write an angry letter to his mama.

LOL proactive1, that was my first thought when I looked at the sketch. .Yikes!!, there is a gorilla on the loose.. I wonder if the guy really looks like that or if the artist was just having some fun with a poor description?.
