Log of Failed Liberal Policies

Another classic in terms of liberal "logic". In summary, they are telling people of independent means they have no right to drinks high in sugar, but will provide those same drinks to people living off of the government for them:

Uncle Sam Simultaneously Attacks and Subsidizes Soda Consumption

Federal Government Attacks and Subsidizes Soda Consumption

Okay cool. Let's end all subsidies to corn and place a 20% surcharge tax on all sugary beverages over eight ounces. Then we won't be hypocrites AND we'll be helping to offset the costs of idiot, slack-jawed, mouth-breathing morons like you guzzling four hundred ounces of soda every day getting diabetes and your insulin shots through medicare.

The federal government has financed a multi-million dollar ad campaign in New York City and elsewhere attacking sugary soft drinks. But legislation passed last week continues subsidizing sugar producers, and allows food stamp recipients to buy soda and other supposedly unhealthy foods with taxpayer money.

Most sodas don't use sugar as a sweetener, they use corn syrup. The person who wrote this article is a fucking moron. In fact just about every sweet soft drink you can think of uses corn syrup. But hey - don't let facts get in your way of hating Obama!

LMAO! I love it - you're the fucking idiots who created & championed Medicare, and now your crying like the little bitches that you are about the cost of it. And to control the costs, you now champion controlling more freedoms by dictating what people consume. The funny part is, liberals are too stupid to see the forest for the trees. They create the program, it fails miserably as conservatives told them they would, and then the liberal response is to create a bigger, more expensive program to solve the problem of the smaller program they couldn't afford. It would be like a person trading in their Ford because they can't make the payments on it, and telling the salesman he needs to get them into a Ferrari...

If you would have listened to the GOP in 1967 and not created the uncsontitutional program, this wouldn't be an issue now, would it? By the way, thank you for being honest for once and acknowledging the hypocrisy of your party.

Typical liberal - redirect the issue to avoid acknowledging the failure and hypocrisy.

The bottom line - liberals are telling people who support themselves they don't have the right to consume certain beverages with sugar, while providing those same beverages free of charge to those living off of the government.

You can't make that kind of fucking stupidity up - that can only come from a liberal

In the annual report on staff salaries, the White House revealed its staff grew to 468 people this year, with a $700,000 increase in payroll to $37.8 million.

Obama is just loving the unlimited bank accounts he can reach into and the unlimited credit tab he can run up on the backs of the American tax payer.

Wonder why he doesn't take some of his own multi-millions and provide for his homeless aunt (who is also here illegally) and pay some White House salaries with it? Oh, that's right - he's a hypocirte GREEDY liberal who hoards his money so he can be wealthy while demonizing wealth and preaching about "shared sacrifice"

The bottom line - liberals are telling people who support themselves they don't have the right to consume certain beverages with sugar,

No we haven't.

Um, actually you have. Liberal New York mayor Bloomberg (aka asshole) has banned certain sized soda's for free American's of independent means. Meanwhile, liberal policy allows people on food stamps to purchase those same beverages. Unbelievable...

He's banned their sale, not their consumption, and I don't vote in New York City, so I fail to see the relevance anyway. Bloomberg isn't even a Democrat.

Uh, how exactly does one consume if they are unable to purchase? That's like saying drugs are perfectly legal - you can consume them, you just can't possess or purchase them  If it's illegal to sell, then it's flat out illegal and good luck trying to "consume".

Second, Bloomberg is a life long, die hard liberal. Just because he changed his "official" registration before the 2001 to Republican and then changed again later to Independent means nothing. A pedophile will never call himself a pedophile, but that doesn't mean he's not touching children. And Mayor Bloomberg is a hard core left-wing nut liberal.

Finally, as far as where you live, the article clearly mentioned the money the federal government is funneling to New York for this effort and for advertisements (more money unconstitutionally spent on an isssue that is not the concern of the federal government).

Assuming the chart is accurate - it doesn't change the fact that we are getting 5% ROI on R&D government spending.

You've not established that as a fact, nor do you even understand the point of scientific research by claiming its relevant.
Additionally, defense is the constitutional responsibility of the federal government. "Green technology" and other pet projects are not.

The Congress may spend money on both the common defence and the general welfare through Article I Section 8 Clause 1.
How did Obama flushing a half-billion dollars down the Dem donor Solyndra's toilet help the general welfare?

Hint: It didn't. But some big donors got rewarded for supporting Obama, didn't they?

"The United States federal government spends $480 billion per year of tax payers money on R&D and the resulting commercialization from that research has resulted in a less than 5% ROI (Return On Investment for you liberals)". - Robert Brumley (Pegasus Global Holdings)

(Since liberals are the parasite class that lives off of the government, they don't understand these concepts. So allow me to dumb it down to your level: the over bloated, unconstitutional, monstosity of a government that you have created spends an enormous amount of money and we have very little to show for it).

D.C.-based Pegasus Global Holdings is planning to build the model city to test new and up-and-coming technologies such as smart grids, renewable energy, intelligent traffic systems and next generation Wi-Fi. The company says the huge facility, dubbed "The Center," would likely be located somewhere near the Albuquerque or Las Cruces metro areas, giving the company access to multiple Interstate corridors, nearby national labs, universities, and military installations.
"The idea for The Center was born out of our own company's challenges in trying to test new and emerging technologies beyond the confines of a sterile lab environment," Robert H. Brumley, Pegasus Global's CEO said in a statement. "The Center will allow private companies, not for profits, educational institutions and government agencies to test in a unique facility with real world infrastructure, allowing them to better understand the cost and potential limitations of new technologies."

Failed Liberal Policy:

Today's jobs report is a broken record, with the unemployment rate stuck at 8.2 percent. The Department of Labor reports that only 80,000 jobs were added in June—consistent with other data revealing the economy has downshifted from slow to slower. This picture is starkly different from the economy President Obama promised of a strong recovery and millions of "saved or created" jobs a few years ago.

In 2009, the President promised that his "recovery plan" composed almost entirely of government spending was the only way to stave off rising unemployment. The White House even drafted a chart showing projected unemployment with the economic stimulus plan and without it—to scare lawmakers into voting for it. According to their projections, by now, unemployment should be at 5.5 percent. Instead, of course, it's 8.2 percent—and has been above 8 percent for 41 straight months.

Even in this demoralizing regulatory landscape, Americans are still innovating in energy production. Residents of Tioga, North Dakota, are showing the rest of the country how profitable domestic energy could be--if the federal government doesn't halt the town's economic boom.

Thanks to fracking--a process where rock is fractured to tap oil-rich underground resources--the Tioga area is flourishing. So many people are moving to the area that it hasn't been able to build enough houses to keep up with demand.

North Dakota is proving that the U.S. can develop its resources efficiently and in an environmentally sensible manner. Oil production has quadrupled since 2005--North Dakota is now the second-largest oil producer in the U.S. behind Texas--and state regulators have effectively balanced economic growth and environmental protection.

North Dakota is only one of many states that are beginning to reap the economic benefits of fracking and other advances in drilling technology to harvest previously inaccessible oil deposits. But these leaps forward are only possible because regulations haven't crushed these efforts--yet.

When Congress has put up roadblocks to the Obama Administration's agenda, the President has swerved around the legislative process and issued orders through regulation. His EPA has pursued a host of regulations that will kill millions of jobs, challenging Congress to try and stop it. Today, the Senate could take one step in that direction, but it will take a serious fight to maintain the level of economic freedom needed to create jobs and meet the country's energy needs.

The federal government is not authorized to provide for the general welfare.

You're a fucking moron, BTW

The Congress shall have power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

Clearly your reading comprehension is roughly somewhere around that of a first grader.

The "general welfare of the United States" means things such as defense, coining money, patents, etc.

It does not say provide welfare for the general population, stupid... :cuckoo:

Because you are a member of the parasite class, you read what you want to see instead of reading what is actually there.
