I don't think that is true. Back during Cyrus the Greats time, the Jews were exciled from there lands by the Babloyians (before that by the Assyrians). Cyrus the Great conquered the Babloyians and allowed the Jews to return to Israel. He gave them automny and allowed the rebuilding of the Great Temple. During this time the Great Persian Empire was 10% Jewish and Cyrus allowed Jews to freely practice their religion in Persia.

During the Byzantine Empire times, the Persians and the Jews formed an alliance to kick the Byzantines out. For a while it worked. Although the Persians did betray the Jews, it enabled the Jews (along with the Persians) to oust the Byzantines and a 3-5 year rule of Israel (last time before the rebirth) before the Byzantines came back in and slaughter the Jews unmercifully.

Iran didn't allow any of the Jews fall into Nazi German and protected them. Iran is the only country in the region that didn't expell the Jews in '48 and '67.
