This fim is about the Kelo Decision and the fight against a use of Eminent Domain that was never intended by the Founders..... taking your property from you, by the local government, so they can sell it too a rich company to get more tax revenue....

Of course, the left wingers on the Supreme Court went all in on this idea....

'Little Pink House': Eminent Domain Portrayal is Devastating | National Review

Little Pink House is a devastating dramatization of Susette Kelo’s battle to keep her house from politicians invoking ‘eminent domain.’

Working on behalf of a giant corporation and a corrupt politician, a development czar explains at a town-hall meeting why it’s necessary to bulldoze a group of houses nestled by a river: to “help those in need,” of course. “The jobless, the homeless, the people on the fringes of society will benefit the most from this plan,” says the development executive. Replies an incredulous resident: “You’re gonna help the homeless by kicking people out of their homes?”

And Notorious RBG...the left wing star of the Supreme Court...

Shame on anyone who believed this, and shame most especially on Justices Ginsburg, Kennedy, Stevens, Souter, and Breyer for affirming it in the Supreme Court, in a decision that agreed with the government that a poor landholder could be forced out in favor of a rich one because the rich one promised to provide more tax revenue. Take from the poor to give to the rich: This is how Ginsburg, Kennedy, et al. read the Constitution.

I remember my Grandfather, God Bless his soul; who owned a cottage in which developers wanted to buy for the property due to the location (something major was going to be built within 2-3 years just down the road). However, they needed his neighbours lot too per the size of the development and of course for commercial zoning. My grandfather was not even thinking of selling it, but the offer was 3x the value of the home, so my grandfather agreed to sell.

I was a teen at the time and I recall that his neighbour didn't want to sell. It was his family home and he simply refused to let it go. In a lesson I will never forget, I told my grandfather "that's ridiculous, why won't he sell, he can buy a place twice as nice with the proceeds" My grandfather felt no ill will towards this man and calmly told me, "if he doesn't want to sell he doesn't want to sell. It's the home he raised his family in, the memories to him are worth more than the money". My grandfather didn't try to convince the guy or even himself worry about the lost money, in fact, I sensed a measure of respect he had for this neighbour.

Some things you cannot place a price tag on, most importantly, liberty and self determination.

How's that? I disagree with Trump on what he did there. Eminent Domain is not meant for taxes, only for roads and other public projects....and ruth bader ginsburg was all in for taking that woman's home...as were all the left wing Justices on the Court.......

That is the purpose of eminent domain moron...... taking property to give to another private entity is not what it is for....building a security wall for the country is exactly what it is for...

I know you are an idiot....which is why you don't understand the topic. The left wing justices on the court agreed that Eminent Domain could be used to take the private property of one citizen so it could be given to another citizen....something the Founders never had in mind when they included it in the Constitution.......

We know how the leftists on the court actually voted.... and they voted for the government to be able to take your property to give to someone else....
Apparently you remain unaware that three of the five justices in the maj were appointed by Republican presidents. You remain unaware of that because you insist this is a partisan divide issue, despite the cretin you voted for President being the number one abuser of eminent domain for personal gain.

Apparently you choose not to learn that taking for private use was unconstitutional in Calf at the time. Although how Dodger Stadium came to be was not a good thing. And apparently you choose not to learn what "liberal" states have laws prohibiting eminent domain for private use.

You apparently also remain unaware that Kavenaugh support DENYING eminent domain power to the federal govt when the use is to protect water sources. We might agree that the EPA goes too far, but if clean water isn't a public use, there cannot be a public use.

Moron...it doesn't matter who appointed them if they are left wing Jusices...it is their left wing belief system that makes them think it is okay to take your house to give it to a private business because they think it will make more tax revenue...

You are a moron.
