(Apparently common sense isn't good enough, all references to al Qaeda are to be submerged and obliterated, for after all isn't UBL dead, and isn't it nigh upon time to declare victory and bug out, for Obama's legacy to America was meant, all along, to be NASA's mission to Mecca. Never mind that jingoistic horse manure about making the "World safe for Democracy". Having to look at pictures and watch movies all in black and white must have affected their thinking ability something fierce back then.
There may be a clue in this as to the reason why Michael Bloomberg banned participation by any religious clerics and first responders in this years Ground Zero remembrance ceremonies. Islam hates to be upstaged by infidel religions and the way this country's going, one hundred years from now 9/11 will be just another day remembered by only Muslim scholars as the date of another Islamic triumph over the infidel)

"You may have thought as a regular American citizen you were capable of marking the upcoming 10th anniversary of the deadly 9/11 attacks in your own quiet, sad way as you and your family choose.

However, in its infinite federal wisdom and one-size-fits-all philosophy, the Obama White House has drafted a set of detailed orders for how it wants the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks observed, both at home and abroad.

We're not kidding.

After weeks of quiet internal planning, two sets of guidelines were dispatched by the Democratic administration, one for American representatives to use abroad and another to all federal agencies at home.

Suggestions for elaborate programs including speeches and other ceremonies to mark the murder of nearly 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11, 2001, were discarded by the administration in favor of low-key appearances by President Obama and a few other officials."

the talking points are detailed plans on how we are to observe 9/11?

I thought they were detailed plans for Obama's staff on how to address 9/11.

Silly me.

I'm not sure what you're point is supposed to be. That it's low key? That al Qaeda isn't going to be mentioned much, if at all?

What's wrong with that? Which is more important? Remembering and commemorating the victims? Or giving al Qaeda attention in the press after 10 years?

When ceremonies are held at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7th, do we focus on the sailors on the USS Arizona, or do we focus on Japan?

Regardless, kudos to President Obama for not trying to exploit the 10th anniversary of 9-11 by having some kind of over-the-top public event where he talks endlessly about how HE'S fighting al Qaeda and how HE, as president, has got al Qaeda on the run after the killing of their leaders.

And shame on the right for using 9-11 as just another ocassion to bash Obama.
