David perhaps you might not be the brightest bulb in the box, or perhaps you just haven't done your homework, but let me make a few points. Granted there are over 20+ Arab countries in the world, and one Jewish one, but look how that one state came to be. With it's creation alone, set into an exodus of over 700,000 people. Hundreds of thousands of which to this day have been stuck in refugee camps for several generations in a number of neighboring countries, un-able return to what was once home for many ages.

But seriously people, the UN Partition Plan of 1947 wasn't in the purpose of Jordan's creation. It was a sad attempt to make an Arab Palestinian state and a seperate Jewish state comprised of the land that we now know as the state of Israel, with Jerusalem under international administration for the sake of all of the religious parties involved, but it didn't quite work out like that. So no matter how much one may deny the legitimacy of a state for the Palestinians, one things is for certain, that Palestinians have been there along with jews, and a huge number of other cultures and civilizations of the region, and just because the majority christians in our country beleive that Israel actions towards the Palestinians are justified, because the bible says the land is for the Jews, perhaps you should look up the defintion of a religious extremeist, trust me contrary to the sterotypes, fundamentalist ideology is found a lot closer then one might think.

Lastly I think it's funny that we are such avid supporters of Israel because of what people feel it's significance is from the bible. Honestly think of the other extremely messed up countries around the world, where terrible things happen to people even as you read this post, but in America we don't bat an eyelash. When you think about it, if you take away the biblical aspect in our support for Israel, and there really isn't much to look at to tell you the truth. But honestly, in our country don't we supposedly practice that seperation of church and state thing again lol, interesting concept really lol.

The point is the Muslims don't want Israel. They were never there for the entire time the Jews were scattered abroad. Just read Mark Twains "Innocents Abroad" where he states:

yes there are tons of Muslim countries but there are even more of christian majority countries. Christians and Muslims make up most of the Earth's population. Jews and other faiths make a up a smaller number so therefore of course they will have less countries.

and you say the Arabs want to take Israel away. Maybe your memory is messed up but Palestine was taken away from the Arabs. Prior to 1947 Arabs were living on that land. And in 1948 land was slowly starting to be taken away from them. Now had Israel stuck to the agreement in 1948 it wouldn't have been a big deal to the Palestinians. But since Israel took much more land than they were suppose to that's why the Palestinians are still pissed off. And Israel continue to still occupy some parts of Palestine.

And it's not so much about the land as it is the treatment the Palestinians have received from the Israelis since 1948. Like what happened in Gaza at the start of this year. Now Hamas was in the wrong for using innocent people as shields. In my opinion Hamas should be overthrown they are doing nothing but harm and bringing more suffering to their people. However Israel reacted recklessly and winded up killing 1000's of civilians many of them children. I understand Israel needs to defend themselves but it should have been done in better way that so many civilians wouldn't have winded up dead.

Nothing was taken form anyone. Jews had lived on that land for more than 2000 years.

After 1947 Jewish refuges were forced into Israel from Arab states . Many palestinians sold there lands and left in the 60's before the 6 day war, thinking they could return after the slaughter .They were wrong

Fitnah of you call 700,000 people going into mass exodus selling their lands to the very same people that a number of Arabs were about to engage in war with, lol then you nailed it right on the money man lol.

Seriously people, if the Arabs have never lived in the region, and the Jews are the simply the victims here, then why exactly is Arabic considered a semetic language lol?

Boths sides have slaughtered each other for thousands of years in the conflict. Hell even the christians from the middle ages have slaughtered arabs in the name of religion back in the crusades when you think about it. The problem here is the extremist nut jobs on either side who thinks "i'm right because my god says so, so it's alright to kill you in his name because you think differently then me." Regradless if one chooses to acknowledge it or not, muslims, jews, and even christians have a history in that region that goes back many ages, and that is historical fact not propaganda, that cannot be dismissed as such.

But seriously when you think about it, if you took away the religious aspect in this ages old conflict, there really wouldn't be much left to fight about. But seriously denying the validity of people's suffering simply because of their religious or ethnic background is an ignorant thing to do. I mean that would be as bad as someone saying the holocaust never happend simply because they don't like Jewish people.
