I have a suggestion. Why not make the links red or the blue that is standard? I know some designers and programmers like to tweak some things but there is loads of stuff written on why changing the color of hot links is bad design.

Usability problems can go undetected if there is no feedback. I am use to browsing a huge variety of sites so it is not so much an issue for me except as an irritant, but having links underlined alone does not reach the widest audience and that is bad usability design.

Am I alone on design and usability and navigation? I don't think so, but then who knows...maybe the majority here bleeds together every time of the month.

my two cents

maybe it is because I am on a mac and the design testing is done on a PC? what is the gamma and color correction issue(s) when selecting non standard colors for links?
