It is republican in the sense that the House, controlled by the GOP, is refusing to follow its Constitutional mandate to address the Nation’s economic issues, to wit: jobs and the economy. As the House’s refusal to take action has resulted in gridlock, it is consequently a republican Congress, as only its do-nothing policy is in effect.
