Lies? Legal Ruling-Immigration-Politics: Washington Times: Judge Hanen

"Judge Hanen ruled that Texas and more than two dozen other states had standing to bring the lawsuit."

"Judge cites executive overreach, burden on states in halting Obama amnesty"

Judge Andrew Hanen s Obama amnesty ruling cites executive overreach burden on states - Washington Times
Huh? Amnesty? States other than Texas have standing?

Judge Andrew Hanen s opinion in Texas v. United States

Federal judge blocks immigrant benefits SCOTUSblog

Ultimately, the judge found that only one border state — Texas — did have the right to file the legal challenge
much of the opinion is a memorandum strewn with political rants more than legal argument. Why do rightwing news sources feel the need to misrepresent and lie so blatantly? It will only dumb down the base of their audience?

Clearly this is rhetorical.

Meanwhile, here's some truth:

“The judge conceded that the effect of his preliminary order would not require the government to start deporting those who are or might be covered by the new policy, but it would put off the benefits they would get from being legally present in the United States.”

And some more truth:

The president's EO does not constitute 'amnesty,' to maintain otherwise is a lie.

A stay of deportation is a temporary amnesty and Obama hopes to make it permanent.

Yes, it is! If allowing them to remain here with work permits isn't amnesty then I don't know what is. Remain in denial if you wish. Doesn't change a thing.

Just can't stand to admit the truth, can you? Doesn't matter what one wants to call it anyway. They should not be allowed to remain in this country and certainly not with work permits with 23 million Americans out of work. And no, most aren't picking crops or doing jobs that Americans won't do.

Only 3% of illegal aliens are picking crops and even for those jobs there are unlimited H-2A visas for LEGAL, foreign workers. So you were sayin? There are no other jobs that American won't do for a fair wage. It is against the law to come here illegally and to work here. What part of that aren't you getting? Yes, apparently I am having a conversation with myself because as a typical pro-illegal you refuse to listen to the facts. Welcome to my ignore list..
